About Kurt Tiefenthaler
Kurt Tiefenthaler is a Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has over 30 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Kurt was a Vice President, Portfolio Manager at UBS where he was employed for nearly 25 years. Kurt is a Certified Financial PlannerTM, holds a MBA in Finance from New York University, and received BS in Finance from The University of Connecticut.
Building long-term relationships is a cornerstone of Kurt’s practice. He enjoys getting to know his clients and has a particular interest in helping them plan for life events such as education needs, retirement planning and wealth transition with personal, customized investment strategies. Many of Kurt’s clients have been with him from the start and have made him feel a part of their family.
Kurt has been a resident of Westport, Connecticut since 1983. He lives with his wife, Eileen, his son Michael and daughter Claire. Kurt enjoys living in Westport and has taken advantage of all the amenities such as the beaches, boating, sailing, golf courses, outdoor concerts and other year round town activities. Kurt enjoyed coaching Little League for eight years. He also crewed on racing sailboats on regional and national levels but after 13 years has retired from active racing. His interests include baseball (Yankees), football, golf, woodworking, cooking and building museum quality wooden ship models. Kurt also successfully retired from skydiving.
