The Garbade | Allen Group has over 50 years of combined investment and financial planning experience. We work with individuals, families and organizations to facilitate their wealth management planning objectives. Our primary areas of focus include portfolio management, comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning and access to trust services.

Our chief objective is to help act as our clients' "personal CFO" by managing their assets as we would our own families', helping them to make more informed decisions as well as by formulating strategies to help grow and preserve their assets and estate. We aspire to build meaningful relationships based on a foundation of trust. Ultimately, our goal is to help our clients maintain their vision of financial success and achieve their dreams.

About Eric L. Garbade

Eric Garbade is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Management Director, and Founding Partner of The Allen/Garbade Group at Morgan Stanley.

Eric joined Morgan Stanley in 2002 after graduating from The University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and Certified Investment Management Investment Analyst. Eric has completed an Executive Educational Program offered through The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, which consisted of extensive studies on asset allocation, manager search and selection, investment policy review and performance measurement.

As a life-long native of Atlanta, Eric enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, attending sporting events, exercising, playing golf, and piano. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Atlanta with their two children. Exemplifying his rank of Eagle Scout, which is considered the highest honor in Boy Scouts of America, Eric has consistently engaged in activities aimed at supporting causes such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Auditory-Verbal Center, The St. Martin’s Episcopal School Foundation, Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance, and Forget Me Not Frances. About Scott Allen

After obtaining his MBA, Scott moved to Atlanta and began in the Financial Services industry in 1982. Scott has over 40 years of industry experience as an analyst and portfolio manager. As a Portfolio Management Director, he is among a select group of Morgan Stanley advisors who take a hands-on approach to the markets by doing his own research, analysis, and portfolio construction. With more than three decades of managing portfolios, he has experienced both bear and bull markets up close and personal. He remains patient and focuses on his client’s objectives of building and maintaining their wealth. This includes providing clients with the proper asset allocation for their risk tolerance. He does this from his passion for creating and managing custom and model portfolios. He manages risk in the most tax-efficient manner using tax-loss harvesting, tax management strategies, and wealth planning and/or philanthropic strategies.

Scott lives in East Cobb with his wife Lynn. They have been married for 37 years and have two sons Max and Hunter and a daughter in law, Holly. He likes to spend time with family, golf, swim and read in his spare time.

About Hunter Allen

Hunter Allen is a Financial Advisor, Financial Planning Specialist, Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, and a partner of the Garbade | Allen Group at Morgan Stanley. With extensive experience in the financial services industry, he focuses on comprehensive financial planning for corporate executives, young professionals, business owners, individuals, and families.

A graduate of Mississippi State University, Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He entered the workforce in San Antonio Texas at the Institute of Surgical Research developing Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Army veterans suffering from burn injuries in the ICU. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Hunter worked at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor rendering advise on corporate retirement plans before ultimately joining the family business partnering with Scott Allen and Eric Garbade at Morgan Stanley.

With meticulous attention to detail, Hunter builds customized wealth management plans that are carefully crafted to meet each client’s unique needs, objectives, and risk tolerance. Throughout this process, he maintains a high level of communication with clients to ensure that their financial plans stay aligned with their vision for the future.

Outside of the office, Hunter stays active playing tennis, pickleball, golf, and basketball. Hunter enjoys traveling to new countries such as Canada, Dominican Republic, Germany, Kenya, Rwanda, Peru, Spain.

Hunter has his FINRA SIE, Series 7, and 66 registrations, as well as his insurance licenses to assist with Life, Accident, and Long Term Care.

About Lisa Bingaman

Lisa is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in the state of Georgia. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors’ clients and prospects with their financial planning needs.

Lisa is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant® who began her career in Financial Services in 2007. She has been Series 7 and Series 66 registered, and Life/Health/Variable Annuities Licensed for 17 years. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Lisa was one of five Internal National Certified Financial Planners for Nationwide Financial, but the bulk of her experience was with Wells Fargo Advisors, where she collaborated with several teams and Financial Advisors in the Southeast region to consult on processes and procedures for implementing Financial Planning into the practice. Here, she mentored under a Branch Manager and CFP®, while working towards her own designations.

In addition to her degrees in Business Management and Psychology, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics with a Concentration in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia. She lives in Middle Georgia with her husband and their 2 children, where they spend most of their free time on the baseball and soccer fields.

About Jen Meredith

Jen Meredith, CFP® is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Atlanta, GA. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Jen began her career in financial services in 2000 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2020. Prior to her current position, she worked with USAA Wealth Management as the Regional Financial Planner and Fidelity Investments as a Financial Consultant. She has also served as SVP of Financial Planning with an RIA focused on the Ultra High Net Worth client.

Jen graduated from The University of Alabama and has earned the Certified Financial Planner® designation. Jen lives in Johns Creek, GA with her son, Sam. Outside of work, she is passionate about SEC football, cooking, music and travel. She is an active volunteer for The Autism Society, The University of Alabama Alumni Group, and The Cottage School, where Sam attends High School.
