The Fisher Group Process

Relying on our core values of integrity and service, The Fisher Group approaches every conversation with great care and coordination. In tailoring your personal strategy, we start by getting to know you and your family, your values, goals and risk tolerance. After your full financial picture is determined, a tailored strategy is implemented, which includes income and retirement planning, investment management, strategic lending, business succession and wealth transfer, and also incorporates input from your personal advisors, lawyers and accountants. We regularly review your portfolio with you in order to track your progress and make adjustments as personal or market conditions change.
    1. Introduction
    - Our client-first approach begins with a conversation to understand your concerns. We ask questions about you and your family, your career or business, as well as your needs and goals. Should we all agree there is a mutual fit among us, we will schedule our next meeting and ask you to collect important financial documents to share with us.
    2. Deep Discovery
    - In this meeting, we conduct a more in-depth review of your entire financial picture. We review the documents you’ve prepared, ask questions about how you make decisions and define your priorities. We want to help you manage both sides of your balance sheet. We can do this for your personal wealth, as well as your business.
    3. Plan Development
    - Utilizing proprietary planning tools, we develop a plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. Our recommendations incorporate a broad array of strategies for your specific situation and may include tax and estate planning, business planning and ownership, a comprehensive liability review, as well as a discussion about family dynamics. We consult with your existing team of attorneys and CPAs to ensure we are all working towards the same outcomes.
    4. Execution of Your Plan
    - We present your plan and explain each strategy in detail. Once you’ve approved the plan, we get to work executing on each strategy we’ve mutually agreed to implement for you. We believe investment decisions should be driven by your goals and your life.
    5. Ongoing Service
    - We are always here for you and simply one phone call away from providing customized advice on any financial matter. Our intent is to develop an enduring relationship that provides special value to you and your family. We schedule periodic meetings and calls to ensure your plan remains on schedule.

About John F Fisher

For John, service is more than just a word. It means serving your country as well as serving your clients and your family. It is the reason why John joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a pilot before embarking on another career, one that would enable him to serve, as well as utilize his strong interest in the global capital markets. He began his career in financial services in 1984 and has helped a wide range of clients across multiple market cycles. While serving as a wealth advisor at UBS Financial Services, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and his team earned the distinction of banking champions on three separate occasions. For many years, John was also a member of UBS’ President’s Club, the company’s second highest honor. In 2017, John realized that he could provide more services to his clients by joining Morgan Stanley, which has one of the largest wealth management platforms in the industry and vast global resources.

John earned a Master of Science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Penn State University, where he developed a love of college football while cheering on the Nittany Lions.

Today, John focuses on helping affluent professionals and their families with asset allocation, retirement planning and wealth management, along with estate preservation strategies. His sons, John Curtis and Harrison, work alongside him on the team, providing investment selection and portfolio management.

In addition to supporting a number of charities and being active members of their church congregation, John and his wife Betts enjoy travel, boating, fishing and skiing. When John is not in the office, he and Betts can be found at the lake with their dogs, Annie and Lilly.

About John Curtis "JC" Fisher

John Curtis (JC) has always enjoyed helping people, which is what attracted him to the wealth management industry. In 2011, he joined his father at The Fisher Group to expand his interest in doing just that: one family helping others to preserve and grow their wealth. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, John Curtis and his father worked in a similar capacity at UBS, where they were three-time banking champions. After joining Morgan Stanley, John Curtis went through a rigorous training program to become a Family Wealth Advisor as well as an Insurance Planning Director. JC specializes in evaluating the full picture for the team’s clients to deliver everything that Morgan Stanley has to offer and makes their practice feel as if it is a Family Office. Banking and lending, financial planning, insurance solutions and business succession planning are just a few of his areas of expertise.

John Curtis is a graduate of Woodward Academy and Auburn University, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. While at Auburn, John Curtis was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

In 2016, John Curtis and his wife Jackie founded Sporting Clays for Kids, an annual event that raises awareness and funding for The Schenck School and ReadSource. JC currently serves on the board of trustees for The Schenck School as well as The Dunwoody Police Foundation. Previously he has served on the Finance Committee for Community in Schools of Atlanta, which aids children with financial needs to gain access to supplies that are imperative to help them succeed in K-12 education. He is also an active member and volunteer at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.

Outside the office he can be found fishing, skiing, golfing or rooting for the Auburn Tigers. JC and his wife Jackie reside in Dunwoody with their son and daughter as well as their two “good” dogs, Buddy and Blakely.
