The team’s senior advisor, Alexander Fischman, has been ranked by Forbes 4 times, most recently in 2025, being ranked #11th in New Jersey in Forbes' Top-Next Gen Wealth Advisors Best-In-State list. Shalom Azar was also listed on the 2025 Forbes Top-Next Gen list ranked #9 making his third appearance.

Internally, Shalom Azar and Alexander Fischman were named Executive Directors in Morgan Stanley in January 2025. Alexander was also named to Morgan Stanley's Master's Club which is an elite group of top Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors. Alexander was selected to join this prestigious group in 2024.     Alexander Fischman

    Sandy began his career during Financial Crisis, shaping his investment philosophy of 'principal preservation.' After making the move to Merrill Lynch in 2015 from a regional broker-dealer, he had a vision of how he wanted to build his practice and founded The Fischman Group. The success and growth of the group is attributed to the emphasis placed on Financial Planning and seeking to provide a 'family office' feel for the retail client with a world-class service model. In 2019 Sandy began working with Shalom when he started at Merrill Lynch creating the Fischman Azar Group and together they moved to Morgan Stanley in 2021. Sandy assists clients with strategic financial recommendations that are customized to each individual.

    Sandy has extensive knowledge in stock compensation strategies, corporate benefits and customized wealth planning. He focuses on all aspects of Wealth Management with a deep understanding of corporate stock award compensation. He will review each client's needs with respect to financial strategy, estate planning services, wealth transfer, insurance, educational planning, lending needs and retirement lifestyle requirements. Sandy has been recognized recently by the biggest publications in finance. In 2023 Sandy was awarded by Forbes as "Top Next Generation wealth Advisor" In 2024 Forbes awarded the Fischman Azar Group as a "Best In State Wealth Management Team" Sandy resides in NJ with his wife Rebecca and their 4 children.

    Shalom Azar

    Shalom is a Financial Advisor who began his career at Meryl Lynch, shaping his investment philosophy. After making the move from Merrill Lynch in 2021, he had a vision of how he wanted to build his practice and founded The Fischman Azar Group with Alexander Fischman. The success and growth of the group is attributed to the emphasis placed on Financial Planning and the 'boutique office' feel for the retail client with a world class service model.

    The Fischman Azar Group works with Senior Executives at publicly traded companies and focuses on tax efficient strategies around executive compensation. The team also assists in advising clients around trust and estate planning strategies, legacy formation and transfer, education planning, and providing various lending and liquidity options. Recently the Fischman Azar Group was named to the 2024 Forbes 'Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams.' Given all of Shaloms' accomplishments, he has been recognized industry wide as a top practitioner by Forbes. Most recently, in 2023, Shalom was named to the firm's prestigious Century Club, an elite group composed of the Firm's top Financial Advisors.

    Tomer Mizrahi

    Tomer Mizrahi is a Financial Advisor for The Fishman Azar Group. Tomer is committed to helping his clients achieve their financial goals by using a customized approach, specifically tailored to each of his client's needs.

    Tomer provides his clients with quality service by specifically focusing on equity compensation management, financial planning, estate planning strategies, education planning and overall wealth management. Tomer graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's in finance. Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, Tomer currently resides in Upper East Side Manhattan and enjoys surfing, skiing, and spending time with his friends and family.

    Nick currently resides in Edison, NJ. He graduated from Rutgers University where he majored in Finance with a minor in Psychology. In his time at Rutgers, Nick was a part of the Rutgers Crew team and member of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Nick is an active mentor for the Saint Joseph High School rowing team, and enjoys going to the gym, golfing, and volunteering. Nick started his career at Merrill Edge where he was an Investment Specialist.

Adam Guralnick is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in New Jersey.

Mary Beth Powers is Executive Director and Trust Specialist for Morgan Stanley covering the New York Metro region, responsible for presenting Morgan Stanley’s third-party trustee partner platform to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Financial Advisors, clients and prospects. Leveraging the capabilities of our trust company partners, Mary Beth assists to identify appropriate fiduciary solutions, which are essential to the management, preservation and transfer of accumulated wealth. This process includes coordination with the client’s financial, legal and tax advisors to ensure proper trust planning implementation.

Mary Beth has worked in the trust and estate services industry for over thirty years, primarily handling trust new business opportunities. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mary Beth spent ten years as a senior vice president and regional trust specialist with Citigroup Trust in NYC.

Mary Beth received a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey and is Series 7 and 63 licensed. She resides with her husband and family in Blauvelt, New York.
