Our Story and Services
The Fischman Azar Group is known as of one of the top teams in the country managing over $511 Million* in client assets. The team has been coveted for their elite service model of comprehensive quarterly reviews, monthly financial planning calls, and weekly commentary around the financial markets.
The team’s senior advisor, Alexander Fischman, has been ranked by Forbes 4 times, most recently in 2025, being ranked #11th in New Jersey in Forbes' Top-Next Gen Wealth Advisors Best-In-State list. Shalom Azar was also listed on the 2025 Forbes Top-Next Gen list ranked #9 making his third appearance.
Internally, Shalom Azar and Alexander Fischman were named Executive Directors in Morgan Stanley in January 2025. Alexander was also named to Morgan Stanley's Master's Club which is an elite group of top Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors. Alexander was selected to join this prestigious group in 2024. In addition to demonstrating leadership through best practices of wealth management, this accolade recognizes Alexander’s consistent excellence in providing a wide range of investment products and wealth management services to clients.

About Adam Guralnick
Adam Guralnick is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in New Jersey.
Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.
Adam began his career in financial services in 2002, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2021 as an Associate Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Wealth Management Banker at UBS. He also served as a UHNW Associate Private Banker at Citi Private Bank and a Merrill Lynch Banking Advisor.
Adam is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Informatics. He lives in Livingston, New Jersey with his family. Outside of the office, Adam enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his family.

Rick Marx is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Northern New Jersey. He is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.
Rick began his career in financial services in 2007 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2022. Prior to his current position, he was a Financial Advisor at JP Morgan Chase in New York City as well as a Financial Consulting Director for TIAA also in New York City.
Rick graduated from Hunter College and holds both the Certified Financial Planner™
and the Chartered Financial Consultant® designations. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Gloria and son Dean. Outside of work, Rick enjoys playing guitar, reading, cooking and spending time with his family

Mary Beth Powers is Executive Director and Trust Specialist for Morgan Stanley covering the New York Metro region, responsible for presenting Morgan Stanley’s third-party trustee partner platform to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Financial Advisors, clients and prospects. Leveraging the capabilities of our trust company partners, Mary Beth assists to identify appropriate fiduciary solutions, which are essential to the management, preservation and transfer of accumulated wealth. This process includes coordination with the client’s financial, legal and tax advisors to ensure proper trust planning implementation.
Mary Beth has worked in the trust and estate services industry for over thirty years, primarily handling trust new business opportunities. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mary Beth spent ten years as a senior vice president and regional trust specialist with Citigroup Trust in NYC.
