The Fedor Carnes Group is a wealth management team in Cincinnati, OH. The team has been in existence for over thirty years and has had the privilege of serving the complex financial needs of families across the United States. As of January 2017, the group manages approximately $300 million in assets.  Our team focuses on developing customized strategies designed to reach our clients' unique goals by utilizing Morgan Stanley’s sophisticated research, as well as third-party professionals throughout the world, to build tailored investment portfolios.  We then monitor those investments and provide proactive advice and service to help ensure continuity with your plan. Therefore, the cornerstone of our discussions involves strategies to preserve wealth and mitigate risk.

    About Me

    Jon’s primary focus on the team is implementing customized wealth management solutions for high net worth families and institutional clients.  Jon believes that success in achieving important financial goals, regardless of the type of investor you are, is dependent on executing a comprehensive wealth strategy.  By carefully defining what is most important at the outset, Jon then follows a consistent process to formulate these wealth strategies that are best suited for your investment needs.  Jon spearheads the team's financial planning process by using his extensive knowledge of the various areas of financial planning – retirement, estate, and liability issues.

    Jon graduated cum laude from Miami University in 2001 with degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems.  Upon graduation, Jon worked as an IT analyst for two years and then jumped at the opportunity to work with his Father as a member of the Fedor Group at Morgan Stanley.  

    After serving as a Client Service Associate for two years, Jon earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2009. 

    Jon and his wife Becky have two children and live in Erlanger, KY.  Jon is an active member of the Building Blocks for Kids organization and previously participated in the Toastmasters International and Business Networking International organizations.

    About Me

    John focuses his talents consulting to the investment needs of high net worth families and institutional investors.  John follows a creative yet disciplined process to solve the complex needs common to sophisticated investors. This includes the use of alternative investments and integrating other advanced planning techniques for the development of a prudent investment policy and portfolio design.

    As a three-time alumnus of the University of Kentucky, John expanded his learning by earning a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering in 1994 and 1998, and a Master of Business of Administration in 2006.  After a 12 year career as a Civil Engineer, John recognized his passion for helping individuals and institutions make sound financial decisions. He joined the Fedor Group at Morgan Stanley in 2006. In 2011 John earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification to increase his knowledge base in area of financial planning which includes - retirement, estate, education and investments.

    John is a former board member of the Malia’s CORD foundation and former Finance & Investment Committee member of the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross.  He is a current board member and investment committee member of the Northern Kentucky University Foundation.  In his spare time, John likes to camp, fish, compete in triathons, and spend time with his family.  John and his wife Kathleen have 3 children and reside in Edgewood, KY.

    About Me

    As a licensed investment professional, Nellie holds the title of Assistant Vice President of the Fedor Carnes Group at Morgan Stanley.   Her past careers as a financial planner, insurance liaison and mutual company representative makes her a solid contributor to the team.  With her varied professional background it enables her to assist in developing customized wealth management strategies for clients utilizing life insurance, annuities and long-term care insurance as part of overall wealth management plan.  Nellie earned the College of Financial Planning’s Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation in 1999.  

    Nellie is active with the Adopt A Class organization in Ohio with Cincinnati Public Schools.  

    She has one daughter, 4 step children and 10 grandchildren.

    Kim’s extensive experience in the fixed income investments and trust services, along with her passion for helping people, lend well in her role as the team’s Client Service Associate.  Kim’s thoroughness and attention to detail provide clients with a confidence that their service requests will be handled with efficiency and promptness. She joined the Fedor Carnes Group in 2004. Kim earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Management from the University of Cincinnati in 1996. Kim and her husband, Mark, reside in Batavia, OH.
