About Gregg Cuvin
Gregg is the Executive Director and Senior Portfolio Management Director of The Cuvin Griffiths Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley. He is responsible for leading the Group’s financial planning process and managing client portfolios on a discretionary basis. He has advised clients for over 25 years, leveraging his many professional designations. His extensive experience working with ultra-high net worth families, paired with his credentials, demonstrate a deep level of investment knowledge, a disciplined approach and an ability to create and monitor customized portfolios.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Gregg possesses in-depth knowledge of the financial planning process, tax-efficient planning, employee benefits, retirement planning, estate planning strategies, investment management and insurance. In Gregg’s role as a Senior Portfolio Management Director, he develops and manages clients’ overall investment strategies while customizing portfolios in conjunction with their financial plan.
Gregg is also a Morgan Stanley Family Wealth Director. This prestigious title has been awarded to about 5% of qualified advisors from approximately 16,000 advisors, as of December 2023. He has successfully completed a rigorous accreditation program required for comprehensive wealth planning applicable to affluent individuals. As a Family Wealth Director, the Group’s clients are entitled to a full breadth of family office resources needed to help address the complex, multigenerational challenges of managing significant wealth.
Gregg graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. degree in Finance. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2006, he worked for American Express Financial Advisors and JPMorgan. In 2008, Gregg partnered with Arioch Griffiths to form their group. Most recently, Gregg was recognized in Forbes’s ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Gregg’s involvement in the investment community extends beyond the firm. From 2011 through 2015, he served as one of nine members on the Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the national CFP® Board. In 2015 he was elected and served as the Commission’s Chair. Presently, he is the Treasurer of Spectrum360 - a nonprofit school in NJ that serves children with autism. Gregg is a frequently requested speaker on a variety of topics related to financial planning. He resides in North Caldwell, NJ, with his wife and two children.
