About Susan B Silberman
Susan likes to joke that numbers run in her veins. The daughter of a CPA father and a Math Major and Educator mother, she thought a career in finance was a natural fit - until she almost failed accounting in college! All that changed 20+ years ago, when she realized her other mathematical strengths and analytical skills were what mattered for a career as a Financial Advisor.
Susan guides her clients, using the power of financial planning, to help them build wealth – and security – through market fluctuations great and small. Additionally, as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, she leverages Retirement plans, both Corporate and Individual, as an overall anchor for achieving their financial goals.
In addition to the financial education she provides her clients and their families, she loves sharing her knowledge of finance by presenting to groups. Over the years, she’s been invited to speak to women’s groups, mid - and senior - level executives, CPAs, medical associations, retired union professionals, and has taught an adult education class on the Basics of Investing at a local college. When working for Morgan Stanley’s predecessor, Citi-Smith Barney, Susan had an excerpt she wrote on financial planning for college selected to be included in a money guidebook published by Citi.
Outside of work, Susan volunteers her time having served as an officer on two separate Co-op boards as well as on her children’s school PTA. She’s an avid swimmer, loves doing crossword puzzles, word games and simply enjoying her family and teaching her rabbit new tricks.
