Meet The Corripio Group

About Miguelina Corripio

After more than 35 years working in multiple institutions, Miguelina has dedicated her time providing customized investment and cash management solutions to the wealthiest families in Latin American, focusing on clients in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain and the Dominican Republic. Over the course of her career, she has served as a dedicated advisor to her clients, working to help safeguard their family assets.

Miguelina has been committed to helping her clients reach their financial goals since she began her career in 1979 working for Chemical Bank in New York City. By 1990, she moved to Bank of America’s Private Bank Office in New York. In 1996, American Express offered her a position and she relocated to their International Private Bank Office in Miami. It was there where Miguelina would eventually meet Iris Pacheco and a great friendship was born.

In 2004, Miguelina left American Express for Citigroup’s Personal Investments International Office. At that time, Miguelina began transitioning her business away from the traditional banking service model to a total wealth planning model covering investments, wealth planning, cash management, lending, etc. She would eventually work as a financial advisor for the office that was managed by Eddie Carreno. By 2015, Miguelina, Iris and Eddie decided to team up and create The Corripio Group.

Miguelina came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 1970. She attended Drake Business School in New York. Today, she lives part time in Rochester, MN and part time in Miami, FL. On her free time, she can be found helping her daughter Lisette who runs the family restaurant. Miguelina also stays involved with the Catholic Community in Rochester and enjoys traveling back to Los Angeles to visit her daughter Denise and Minneapolis to visit her daughter Bridgette. Miguelina is also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Hendrix, Lila and Jazmine, who bring out the youth in her every day.

About Eddie Carreno

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Eddie has spent his entire career catering to high net worth individuals in both the United States and abroad. He focuses on providing clients sophisticated and customized investment solutions, using a holistic approach addressing each client’s specific needs and concerns helping them achieve their financial goals. Eddie’s areas of focus include wealth planning, portfolio construction, asset allocation, tax strategies and investment manager selection.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Eddie has completed extensive training and experience requirements and is held to rigorous ethical standards. He understands all the complexities of the changing financial climate and he knows how to make recommendations in his clients’ best interests.

After graduating from college, Eddie began his career in the Securities Based Lending Group of Merrill Lynch. He spent time working in Merrill Lynch’s Private Bank and Investment Group and in the International Wealth Management office. By 2009, he had moved to Citigroup and was approached for a management position. As the Area Investment Sales Manager for Citigroup’s Personal Investments International Office in Miami, he would eventually meet Iris and Miguelina, both financial advisors in his branch, and The Corripio Group was soon formed. 

Eddie was born and raised in Miami. After graduating from high school, he left to Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Vanderbilt University under the Chancellor’s Scholarship and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He enjoys cooking, painting, fishing, watersports and is an avid poker player. Eddie is married to his wife Letty, and has four children, Joaquin, Antonella, Emilia and Tomas.

About Iris Pacheco

Iris began her career as a financial associate at American Express Bank in 1989 and has since, gained a wealth of experience working with high net worth families throughout Latin America. For more than 25 years, she has dedicated her time to helping her clients reach their financial goals. Iris has focused on providing multi-generational investment services, along with lending and cash management solutions  to all the families she works with. 

Originally from Peru, Iris attended the University of Ricardo Palma in Lima, where she studied languages and was a certified translator in German and French. Iris came to the United States in 1987 and began her career at American Express Bank in Los Angeles. In 1993, American Express relocated her to Miami and it was there where Iris and Miguelina first met and a great friendship was formed. By 2000, Iris was a senior relationship manager covering clients from Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. In 2003, Standard Chartered acquired American Express and by 2009 they exited the international banking business in the United States. It was then that Iris followed Miguelina's footsteps and moved her clients to Citigroup's Personal Investments International Office in Miami.

While at Citi, Iris worked as a financial advisor and it was then that Miguelina, Iris and Eddie decided to create The Corripio Group. By 2016, The Corripio Group was established and the team decided to leave Citi to join Morgan Stanley. Iris was able to continue dedicating her time to her clients while providing them the full array of cash management and investment solutions that Morgan Stanley had to offer.

Iris resides in Miami with her two children, Jonathan and Jackie. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and is an active member in the community, donating her time to a variety of worthy organizations through Morgan Stanley's Charitable Giving Program including Habitat for Humanity, among others.
