Our Story

Welcome to the Connecticut Yankee Group at Morgan Stanley

Where expertise meets legacy, the Connecticut Yankee Group brings over four decades of financial planning excellence, unwavering client dedication, and a rich history of success. Founded by Allan Jay in 1976, our team was built on a commitment to helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial aspirations.

Allan's journey began at Janney Montgomery Scott and led him to E.F. Hutton in 1980, where he continued to thrive through 12 firm name changes—keeping the same phone number to ensure his clients always had a trusted, reliable connection. As an industry pioneer, Allan earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner designation in 1984 and later a Master of Science in Financial Planning in 1997, embodying a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and expertise.

The Connecticut Yankee Group reflects the strength of strategic alliances and family values. From Allan's partnership with Lynn Ridgway in the 1980s to his collaboration with Marine Corps veteran and MBA graduate Paul Greatsinger in 2006, our team has grown into a multi-generational powerhouse of experience and innovation. This growth continued with the addition of Ginny Greatsinger in 2016 and Allan's son Brian in 2019—ensuring our expertise is matched by a passion for service and family legacy.

Our senior team member, Helaine DeVore, has been an integral part of Allan's professional life for an astounding 35 years. With her unparalleled dedication to client service and her genuine rapport with our clients, Helaine is a cornerstone of our team's success.
