Our Story

Since 1984, we have assisted individual investors and families to protect- and prudently grow- their assets through financial strategies primarily focused on wealth preservation. We implement a long-term, value-oriented investment approach that focuses on each client’s individual financial requirements, situation and tolerances.
Our fundamental belief is that the best way to grow assets is through wealth preservation. Our goal is to preserve wealth by focusing on an array of financial techniques that look to create natural defenses from market downturns. The investment techniques may narrow the potential outcomes and, in turn, help meet each client’s definition of success.
Our consultative process is based upon understanding each client, designing a personalized portfolio and reviewing our progress regularly. Our role is to guide you and your family through all market conditions and help you reach your goals and objectives.
We strive to deliver an exceptional client experience that stands apart from other investment firms by:
- Providing transparency within our process and portfolios
- Customized portfolios- down to the position level- to meet clients’ needs and desires
- Efficient execution of labor-intensive investment strategies focused on wealth preservation
We encourage you to find out more about the team that has been executing wealth preservation strategies for nearly 40 years.

Our Custom Strategies

Tab Image
We focus on designing portfolios tailored to the client’s unique objectives, tax situation and liquidity requirements. When it comes to investments, there is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Investment planning should encompass their needs, risk and goals along with the client’s personal values.

Our primary focus is wealth preservation. Our consultative process is based upon understanding our clients, designing a personalized portfolio and reviewing our progress regularly. It is our role to guide you and your family through various market conditions and to help safeguard what is most important to you. In assisting client’s reach their goals, we utilize the following strategies:

- Covered Call Strategy
- Corporate Fixed Income
- Municipal Fixed Income
- Growth and Alternative Strategies
- Enhanced Cash

Options are not suitable for all investors. Supporting documentation will be supplied upon request.
Before engaging in the purchase or sale of options, potential clients should understand the nature of and
extent of their rights and obligations and be aware of the risks involved, including, without limitation, the
risks pertaining to the business and financial condition of the issuer of the underlying security or instrument.
Option investing, like other forms of investing, involves tax considerations, transaction costs and
margin requirements that can significantly affect the profit and loss of buying and writing options. The
transaction costs of options investing consist primarily of commissions (which are imposed in opening,
closing, exercise and assignment transactions), but may also include margin and interest costs in particular
transactions. Transaction costs are especially significant in options strategies calling for multiple purchases
and sales of options, such as multiple leg strategies, including spreads, straddles and collars. If you are
considering options as part of your investment plan, your Morgan Stanley Financial Advisor or Private
Wealth Advisor is required to provide you with the "Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options"
booklet from the Options Clearing Corporation. Clients should not enter into options transactions until
they have read and understood the Disclosure Document, as options are not suitable for everyone, and
discuss transaction costs with their Financial Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor. Please ask your Financial
Advisor or Private Wealth Advisor for a copy of the “Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options”
booklet. A copy of the ODD is also available online at: http://www.theocc.com/about/publications/
publication-listing.jsp. Supporting documentation will be supplied upon request.
Corporate Fixed Income
We believe that a client’s allocation to fixed income should be their safest assets. We custom build our fixed income portfolios seeking to increase income and yield while minimizing credit, interest rate and reinvestment risk. We focus on the highest tiers of the quality spectrum and diversify to ensure navigation through turbulent markets.
Municipal Fixed Income
A fixed income strategy that is ideally suited for clients who earn high levels of taxable, ordinary income. We use our extensive research process to identify municipalities that offer fixed income in the highest tier of quality and seeking to maximize after-tax yield.

Both the Corporate and Municipal Fixed Income Strategies are not limited to Morgan Stanley’s inventory and the inventory breadth includes from 5,000-8,000 different CUSIPs daily.
Custom Portfolio Strategies
We custom build every portfolio from individual positions and we can reflect your goals, risk tolerance or values within every single position that we purchase. Strategies can be implemented to reflect your goals, objectives and values:

- Blended portfolios to reflect specific goals and risk tolerances:
We can blend different strategies seeking to magnify growth and income or minimize volatility.

- Socially-Responsible portfolios
Capability to run multiple screens and filters to both eliminate and prioritize investments that complement a client’s underlying values while maintaining structurally sound portfolios

The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because ESG criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria.
- Tax Management
It’s not what you earn but what you keep that is important. We focus on maximizing what you keep in your pocket through numerous tax strategies including tax loss harvesting, asset location and tax efficient investment vehicles

- Income Maximization
Whether you need income from your portfolio or you want your portfolio to be focused on more tangible returns, we build portfolios that seek to generate enhanced income that meet your desires
