About Joseph C Cirelli
Joe leads the Cirelli Wetzler Reilly Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley in advising corporate executives, business owners and successful individuals as Senior Vice President, Family Wealth Director, Senior Portfolio Management Director and Certified Financial Planner™. He has authored articles for the Baltimore Business Journal and The Daily Record, as well as being a recognized source in The Baltimore Sun.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Joe was raised in a culture of hard work. He credits his father, the former CEO of US Airways Federal Credit Union, for instilling in him his belief in the transformative power of education, and an interest in finance. He earned a B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Virginia in 1989.
Joe and his wife of 32 years, Barbara, spent 23 years raising their three children in the north Baltimore neighborhood of Stoneleigh where Joe served in many community leadership roles including President of the Stoneleigh Board of Governors. During that period Joe also did a stint on the Executive Board of the Maryland Chapter of the UVA Alumni Association. Having recently completed a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House Museum in Baltimore, Joe has joined the Board of Love and Lunches, a local non-profit addressing food insecurity in Baltimore. Additionally, Joe has been named to the Community Advisory Board of Baltimore Public Media, the operator of public radio stations, WYPR and WTMD.
The Cirelli family resides in Fells Point, where Joe enjoys walking to his office in Harbor Point. Outside of work and engaging in community service Joe enjoys traveling, seeing live music, supporting the Baltimore Orioles and Newcastle United Football Club, and playing squash.
