The Chickering Group at Morgan Stanley

Our Mission Statement
What's in a name?
We know success doesn’t make life simpler; it makes it more layered. With more opportunity comes more complexity: multiple homes, businesses, investments, and generations to think about.
We focus on the real work: thoughtful financial planning, honest conversations, and coordination with Morgan Stanley’s global resources and your network of professionals — from attorneys to CPAs.
Our team spans generations — from seasoned professionals with decades in the field to emerging advisors bringing fresh perspective and energy. That’s by design. Because the families we serve are multigenerational too.
So yes, Chickering is a street. But for the families we work with, it’s come to mean something more — a name that stands for confidence, connection, and a team committed to showing up.
Our wealth management approach covers a full spectrum of customized strategies. As your “personal chief financial officer,” we not only focus on helping you articulate your needs and aspirations, but also on reviewing virtually all aspects of your financial life, so we may create a comprehensive roadmap intended to help support your family's financial goals over multiple generations.
Committed to helping you seek to preserve and grow your assets, we strive to be your primary financial advisory team. We are focused on providing timely, objective advice and working every day to earn your confidence and aim to make a positive impact.
- If you’re ready for a thoughtful conversation about what’s ahead, we’re here. Call us at (615) 292-0303 — we’d be honored to learn more about your goals and how we might help.

Whether it's navigating business transitions, coordinating real estate interests, or keeping investment and estate strategies aligned across multiple households, the realities of multigenerational wealth require thoughtful, long-term coordination. Our team is structured to help support that entire continuum with clarity and coordination.
We work closely with the individuals making decisions today, seeking to help to ensure that current priorities are addressed while future opportunities and risks are anticipated. By providing guidance that balances immediate needs with long-term strategy, we strive to help heads of family make informed choices to help preserve and grow their wealth.
At the same time, we engage the rising stewards of tomorrow — whether young adults just beginning to take on financial responsibility, or established family members assuming more complex roles. This approach helps cultivate financial literacy and instill a value-driven lens, so that each generation is ready to carry forward the family's vision and legacy.

About Patrick Galloway
A graduate of Mercer University with a degree in International Business, Patrick has held leadership roles at Morgan Keegan, Synovus Financial Corporation’s Private Banking division, and in investment teams in Florida. Those experiences gave him a wide-ranging view of markets, private banking, and complex wealth strategies, which he now brings to bear in helping families manage concentrated assets, business transitions, and multigenerational planning. He approaches every client relationship with the same goal: seeking to help make the complicated feel clear, approachable, and aligned with your life.
For Patrick, wealth management is as much about people as it is about portfolios, and he takes pride in helping clients pursue making thoughtful, intentional decisions to help protect their legacy while seeking to open doors for the future. He works alongside families to anticipate challenges, coordinate investments, and align estate planning strategies and philanthropic plans — always with discipline, practicality, and a personal touch. As a financial advisor, he believes in showing up when it matters, whether it’s helping navigate a major business decision or simply seeking to help make sure a family’s next chapter goes smoothly.
Originally from Carrollton, Georgia, Patrick now calls Nashville home, where he lives with his wife and daughter, close to extended family and a family farm in Kentucky. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoys time outdoors with his father and brothers. When not exploring the woods or waterways, he prioritizes family life and personal fitness.

About Drake Porter
Drake began his career in institutional fixed income with a regional bank in Alabama, where he developed a disciplined foundation in risk management and portfolio construction. He joined a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley in 1997 before moving to Nashville to help build a practice with Morgan Keegan. When that firm was acquired in 2011, Drake helped form what is now The Chickering Group at Morgan Stanley. Having guided clients through multiple market cycles and life transitions, he brings a long-view perspective shaped by experience, patience, and consistency.
At the core of Drake’s work is a belief that financial planning is the anchor for everything else. He believes a well-built plan can help people feel more confident about life's "what ifs." He works closely with clients to define priorities, set realistic goals, and create strategies that align investments, income, and risk with the life they want to live. His focus on fixed income and portfolio management complements this planning-first approach, and he works closely with Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Committee to identify third-party managers with the sophistication to execute day-to-day investment decisions with discipline.
Outside the office, Drake lives in Nashville with his wife, Jill, and their three children. He is a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In his free time, he can often be found on the tennis court or in the stands at his children’s sporting events.

About Kenneth S Luton
A graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Finance, Ken began his career in financial services in 1979 and joined Morgan Stanley in 1989. Over the decades, he has witnessed firsthand how markets evolve, how plans are tested, and how thoughtful guidance can help make a lasting difference. That experience informs everything he does today — from helping clients navigate uncertainty to keeping long-term goals firmly in focus when short-term noise is loud.
Ken believes the most effective wealth strategies are built on patience and perspective. He values clear communication, prudent decision-making, and doing what’s right for clients — especially when the path forward isn’t obvious. Working closely with families over many years, he strives to help them stay grounded through life’s transitions, and aligning their financial decisions with their values, responsibilities, and long-term intentions. His approach is measured, relationship-driven, and rooted in the belief that good advice stands the test of time.
