About Me

Biography 
I have been a Wealth Advisor with Morgan Stanley for over 20 years and co-founder of The Chicagoland Group. As a team, we are all driven to make a difference in the lives of our clients and the communities in which we live.  I manage the investment strategy for the team and continually work closely with new and existing clients to solve their complex financial scenarios.  Our approach is simple – analyze options to distinguish the most appropriate course of action that can lead to the desired solution.  These are explained in an easily understood manner. I believe in investing in a way that aligns with one’s personal values.  Believing that every dollar invested can make a positive impact; I develop investment strategies that allow investors to focus on what is important to them and invest in ways that can contribute to their personal vision of an ideal world.  My team and I strive to make a difference in our clients’ lives by engaging people of all ages in basic financial literacy concepts.  I truly enjoy the personal side of our business – problem solving, translating the complicated to something more understandable and helping make family financial decisions.

I received my BA in Economics from Eastern Illinois University and Morgan Stanley Advanced Studies with the College for Financial Planning.  I am Series 3, 7, 31, 63, 65 and 66 registered and licensed in life, health, variable annuity, and long term care.

In addition to contributing locally to our public schools, service leagues, and children’s museum I am a member of the Family Advisor Alliance with Advocate Hospital. This allows me the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative partnership for families and Advocate Children’s Hospital associates to promote the delivery of patient and family-centered health care.  

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife of 22 years, Melissa, and our four children. I also enjoy dirt bike riding, golf and classic cars.

About Me

Helping families develop and successfully execute living, comprehensive and responsible life plans during my over 30 years as a financial advisor brings purpose to my work. The accumulation of knowledge of the financial markets and development of skills in analytical evaluation and construction of investment portfolios, coupled with a passion for keeping the needs of our clients as a first priority, has resulted in the establishment of strong, personal client relationships. As a Financial Advisor, fulfillment comes through listening to clients – individuals, families, and business owners – and creating and delivering financial plans with specific investment selection decisions. I am series 7, 31, 63, and 65 registered and insurance licensed. 
 
Back in my younger days I played fast pitch softball and was honored with an induction in the Illinois ASA Softball Fastpitch Hall of Fame in 2000. Now I enjoy playing golf, traveling with my lovely wife Donna and spending time with my grandkids.

About Me

I grew up the son of a high school teacher and coach who taught me the importance of hard work and being committed to doing things right.  I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Finance, where I played football under legendary coach Lou Holtz and learned the importance of preparation, doing your best, and showing people you care.  These life experiences and role models shaped me to be the man I am today.  I have enjoyed a successful 25 year career in Financial Services, Equity Trading, Sales, and Management. 

Coaching is in my blood.  As a Financial Coach, helping my clients and their families achieve their financial success is my top priority.  Taking the time to truly understand their values and listen to their unique set of needs allows me to develop personalized goal based financial plans.  Together with my clients, we define and implement investment strategies designed to generate optimal performance consistent with their level of risk.  Also, I am able to leverage the global resources of Morgan Stanley and provide my clients with access to information and investments they otherwise may not have. 

My clients experience a service model based on trust, communication, and a deep understanding of care to their needs.  My approach is holistic and includes an asset allocation/diversification analysis, insurance review, tax efficiency investing, and estate planning strategies.

I work with successful individuals, families, and businesses.  I am Series 7, 66, variable annuity, and insurance licensed.

I am a Board Member for the Notre Dame Club of Joliet, servicing all of Will and Kankakee Counties.  I volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and other local charities.  I enjoy family, golf, Wrigley Field, ND football games, and I am passionate about youth athletics.  I have coached multiple sports including: baseball, basketball, football, and soccer.  I reside in Frankfort, Illinois, with my four children.

The responsibilities of being a Senior Registered Associate provide the opportunity to build personal relationships with our clients by ensuring a seamless and simplified transition when moving from the planning and investment decision making phase to the implementation phase. Efficient and accurate execution of operational requirements requires knowledge and consistency and, when coupled with excellent and timely communication, creates comfort and confidence in our relationships.  This fits my thirst for knowledge, desire to provide opportunity to others and intention to make a difference through my work.  Joining The Chicagoland Group has allowed me to utilize my over 30 years of industry knowledge and series 7, 63 and 66. I am bilingual and look forward to my annual trips to Greece.  In my spare time I enjoy gatherings with my family and friends whether it is at a local venue or just around my kitchen table.

As the Business Development Associate for The Chicagoland Group, I lead the team's marketing and business development strategies by utilizing my over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.  I work with a team of advisors to guide families, individuals, and businesses to simplify the complexity of their financial lives.  On a daily basis I work one-on-one with new and existing clients to understand their investment history and future objectives in order to develop a comprehensive financial strategy.  With my experience I can provide clients with adaptive individualized delivery of core wealth management services on both sides of the balance sheet.

I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance and obtained my FINRA Series 7, 66, and 63.  During my free time I enjoy watching my two children, Marina and Daniel, play high school sports and spending time in Galena with them and my husband, Brian.
