About Gary Casey

Gary has helped clients weather a variety of market cycles and economic scenarios. His utmost goal is helping his clients gain confidence, and security in order to achieve a sound financial future. To do that, he tries to deeply understand you, your situation and what you are trying to accomplish. Once this is known, the Team creates a comprehensive plan that may be tracked and monitored. What this means to you is the comfort of knowing all our decisions are made on your behalf and to make you successful.

Gary’s passion for finance began long before college. He attended Wake Forest University and graduated Cum Laude with a Finance Degree from the University of Missouri. He later attended The Wharton School where he received the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation. He subsequently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation through the Investments & Wealth Institute™ at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. In addition, Gary attended the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Executive Education Program.

In his spare time, Gary enjoys the arts and exploring all that the city of Atlanta has to offer. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and playing golf at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

About Will Slade

Will Slade believes the work of a financial advisor should be tailored for each client and the intentions they have for the future. Will takes great pride with being able to accommodate clients' style of thinking and takes all the time necessary to help you understand the wealth management process. This extensive effort involves a deep understanding of your finances and your expectations for your family and key stakeholders.

This includes a thorough review of assets and liabilities, liquidity needs, time horizons, and a full understanding of your tolerance for volatility. Whether the subject is income replacement, education for children or grandchildren, estate planning strategies or philanthropic objectives, specific goal setting is critical to developing an appropriate financial strategy and plan.

Prior to launching his financial services practice in 2010, Will spent 11 years in the non-profit sector, advising high-net-worth individuals and families on strategies to help accomplish their philanthropic goals. Will holds a BA in Political Science from Carleton College. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and is designated as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ through the College for Financial Planning, as well as a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC).

In his spare time, Will volunteers for Visiting Nurse-Hospice Atlanta. He and his wife, Lisa Robinson, live in Historic Brookhaven and are members of Capital City Club.

About Sam Wesselschmidt

Sam Wesselschmidt began his financial services practice in 2013, working in the banking and insurance industries. He earned his degree in Finance from Auburn University. Sam’s focus is working with affluent families, executives, and business owners to help them establish and preserve their wealth. It is not just about investment management - it is about educating clients and helping them stay grounded and confident throughout life’s transitions and economic changes. He believes when your finances are stable, the rest of your family and key stakeholders are able to be as well.

Sam is actively involved in his local community, including volunteering at the Atlanta Community Food Bank and giving his time for Habitat for Humanity. Sam and his wife, Melissa, reside in Smyrna and enjoy hiking, camping, and playing tennis in their spare time.

Katie joined the Casey-Slade Group in 2023 upon her graduation from Santa Clara University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Katie was inspired to pursue a career in Wealth Management by her father’s 35-year career on Wall Street. She assists in the administration and operation of the team and strives to foster lasting relationships with each individual and family. She holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. In her spare time, Katie enjoys running, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.
