Step 1: Discovery
We begin with an uncommonly detailed discovery process, seeking to gain an in-depth understanding of your current financial situation, greater life goals, and your past behavioral tendencies toward investing. We learn about your assets, liabilities and risk exposures; evaluate trust and estate plans; discuss plans for your business and/or career and explore any other issues that impact your financial life.
Deliverables include:
- A detailed discovery/in-take document used to identify the client’s financial resources, liabilities, risk mitigants (insurance, estate plans, etc), and behavioral biases
-A review of the data provided through the discovery document with the aim of highlighting the clear priorities
Step 2: Coverage Customization
Working to help you create and implement a truly comprehensive wealth plan, we assemble a team of professionals best suited to support your needs. Led by your Private Wealth Advisor, this team may include specialists from across Morgan Stanley’s wealth management and institutional divisions, as well your attorney, CPA and other advisors.

Deliverables Include:
-Introduction to additional team members and firm resources needed to help address the clear priorities and behavioral biases
-Proposed solution(s) for the client mandate with all details including designation of team member coverage, timeline, products/services involved, and fees
Step 3: Reporting & Review
Working to deliver full transparency, we provide clear and detailed reports on the performance of your investment portfolios and the progress of your financial plans. These reports are part of a larger review process to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

About William Gambrill

Drawing on over 20 years of investment experience, William Gambrill works closely with the team’s ultra high net worth clients, both domestic and international. William focuses primarily on managing client relationships and new business development, and serves as the team specialist in insurance and lending.

William came to Morgan Stanley in 2015 after spending five years at Credit Suisse in the New York Private Banking office. Prior to Credit Suisse, William worked as an associate at Barclays Wealth, the successor firm to Lehman Brothers’ Private Investment Management business. William was named to On Wall Street's 2015 Top 40 Advisors Under 40 list

William graduated from Trinity College in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in history. He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Kaitlin, and four children: Lila, Jack, Cecily, and Rosie.

Drawing on over 16 years of wealth management experience, Charles Natt works closely with affluent families and individuals to craft highly customized wealth management plans. Charles also plays a key role in the team’s business development efforts.

About Jack Topham

Jack Topham works to create and implement comprehensive wealth management solutions for highly accomplished individuals and their families. Serving as the primary contact for many relationships, Jack develops financial plans, customizes asset allocations and executes trades. He is also responsible for coordinating efforts with the other professionals, at Morgan Stanley and elsewhere, who play key roles in his clients’ financial lives.

Jack interned with The Carrier Group in 2014 while attending the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business. He joined the team full time in 2016 after graduating with a degree in applied accounting and finance with a concentration in alternative investments. In 2018 he was promoted to portfolio associate and, in 2020, to Financial Advisor.

In his free time, Jack volunteers with iMentor at a high school in the Bronx. iMentor matches students from lower-income neighborhoods with college-educated mentors to help them navigate their college journey. He also enjoys playing squash and attending live music events. Jack lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

About Brendan Cefalu

Drawing on six years of institutional trading and private wealth management experience, Brendan Cefalu contributes to an outstanding overall service experience for clients of The Carrier Group. Working in support of the team’s advisors, Brendan conducts portfolio analytics to help the team identify appropriate investments for client portfolios. He is also responsible for account opening and maintenance, the execution of wires and equity trades, and a variety of other service activities.

Prior to joining The Carrier Group in 2022, Brendan worked on the international equity trading desk at Jeffries. He began his career at MUFG as a global markets risk surveillance analyst, later becoming a money market trader.

Born and raised on Long Island, Brendan graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he majored in finance and economics and was a four-year member of the lacrosse team. When not at work, he enjoys playing golf, working out and spending time at the beach.

About Kevin Massa

Kevin Massa contributes to the team’s operational efforts, working to create an outstanding service experience for its clients. His responsibilities include the opening of accounts and handling of trades and transfers. Kevin joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 and has been a member of The Carrier Group since 2019.

Kevin graduated from Bryant University, where he was a four-year starter on the varsity lacrosse team and earned USILA First Team All-American honors. He stayed active in the sport, coaching youth lacrosse, and enjoys playing golf in his free time.
