About Steve Comiskey
Steve is a Morgan Stanley Managing Director, a Private Wealth Advisor, and is on the Forbes Magazine's 2023 List of America's Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in Washington, D.C.
Steve works with company Founders, CEOs, and C-Suite Executives, their families, and their personal and family foundations; and holds a U.S Patent for a “System and Method for Providing Financial Services to High Net Worth Individuals”.
Steve is a Morgan Stanley Alternative Investments Director with a focus on selecting private non-correlating investment strategies and managing a portfolio’s alternative investments.
Steve holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certificate from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and is also a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®).
Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Washington College of Law at American University and was the Managing Editor of the Law Review. He has been honored with a lifetime achievement award for legal ethics and professionalism from the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism and is a member of the Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia Bars, numerous federal trial court and appellate court bars, and the Bar of The Supreme Court of the United States, although he does not provide legal advice. Steve has taught and coached private wealth advisors and financial advisors. He has taught at the Washington College of Law. He has taught legal ethics and professionalism continuing legal education courses to judges and to lawyers around the country, and he has spoken as an expert on those subjects at state bar meetings around the country.
He is currently the President of his Naval Academy Class, the Chair of the Naval Academy’s Council of all USNA 70+ Class Presidents, a Trustee on the Board of the Naval Academy Alumni Association, a Director on the Board of the Navy-Marine Corps Olympic Regional Training Center in Annapolis, a past Trustee of Landon School, and a past President of the Landon School Fathers Club.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Steve left active duty as a Marine Corps Major following twelve years of active duty service in the U.S. Marine Corps, first as a Marine Aviator and then as a Marine Judge Advocate. Steve is in the Naval Academy Athletic Hall of Fame.
Steve and his wife, Sally, live in Chevy Chase, DC, where they raised their three – now grown – sons (Barrett, Joe, and Will). Will and Joe are also Naval Academy graduates who each served on active duty as Marine Corps Officers. Barrett was an undergraduate Math Major at MIT and has his MBA from Stanford. All three are entrepreneurs running their young companies. Sally is a saint.
