Meet The Butler Group

About Kevin A. Butler

Kevin Butler is an Executive Director, Financial Advisor, Corporate Retirement Director and Certified Financial Planner for the Butler Group. He has 37 years of experience in wealth management at Morgan Stanley. Kevin has been recognized as one of “The Top Advisors in Massachusetts” by Forbes and Boston Business Journal from 2018-2022.
For nearly four decades, Kevin has successfully guided a diverse clientele of high net worth families, private and public businesses and non-profit organizations through numerous market cycles and periods of volatility. By putting clients first, he has developed a successful practice dedicated to building and enhancing long term relationships.
Kevin draws on his extensive experience and training to design customized strategies for high net worth families. His collaborative approach is centered on the belief that each client has unique circumstances. He not only conducts a detailed review of your finances, but takes the time to find out about your family, values, aspirations and tolerance for risk.
Kevin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Providence College in 1983, receiving his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. He obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the Wharton School of Business. He has also obtained the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist, Certified Financial Planner, and Certified Portfolio Manager designations. As a Corporate Retirement Director, Kevin focuses on working with institutions to help design custom retirement plans, provide investment reviews and fee benchmarking, as well as educating plan participants on critical topics to retirement planning such as asset allocation and dollar cost averaging. Kevin is an active member of the Investment Management Consultants Association of America.
He currently lives in Scituate, MA and has one son and daughter. In his free time, Kevin enjoys skiing with his children, biking, sprint triathlons, and playing in a local jazz band. He is a trustee emeritus for the Catholic Charities of Boston.

She joined Morgan Stanley and its predecessors in 2003. She obtained the Chartered Retirement Plan Consultant title in 2012.

About Evan J. Patterson

Evan Patterson is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Evan began his career in financial services in 1999. Prior to relocating to the Northeast, he served as a Private Banker in the Tampa Bay area. Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2010, Evan spent 10 years in high net worth lending at Merrill Lynch supporting teams in New York City, Los Angeles, and Jacksonville. He began his career as a Securities Based Lending Officer before rising within the firm, holding several other positions including Priority Loan Officer, Associate Mortgage and Credit Specialist, Consumer Finance Specialist and Banking and Liquidity specialist.

Evan is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration in Finance. He lives in East Greenwich, Rhode Island with his family. Outside of the office, Evan enjoys painting, watching cinema, reading books, and listening to vinyl records.
