Meet The Bush Natishan Group
About Ellen Q Bush
Ellen Q. Bush has been with Morgan Stanley since 1980. She is a founding member of The Bush Natishan Group which has offices in Scranton and Wilkes Barre serving the Wyoming Valley, NEPA, and clients across the nation.
Ellen graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Bucknell University and received her M.A. from Lehigh University. Ellen has endowed two scholarships at Bucknell, one in memory of her father, John C. Bush, class of '42. These scholarships are directed to students from Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) and seek diversity in the students who are chosen as recipients. As an active community leader, Ellen serves in multiple capacities earning recognition as a recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Ellen served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University from 1995 until 2015, serving on multiple committees including the Executive Committee of the Board. After 20 years of service she was elected Emeritus trustee in April 2015. She is the youngest trustee ever elected Emeritus Trustee.
She has been the past Chair of the Heritage Valley Partners (HVP), the 501c of the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority (LHVA). One area of focus for HVP/LHVA is the development and use of trails and greenways. Trails enhance the value of industrial and commercial sites for a variety of reasons, including attracting major companies, reducing health care costs and increasing productivity.
She has also served on the board for Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Geisinger CMC Advisory Council and the St. Joseph’s Foundation Board of Scranton.
Most recently, Ellen was a member of Glenmaura National Golf Club and she is a lifelong avid runner, having completed four marathons.

1Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
