About Joel Kamor
Joel Kamor brings over 35 years of institutional investing and wealth management experience to the team. A Chartered Financial Analyst,® and drawing upon a sophisticated understanding of global financial markets, Joel conducts due diligence on investment managers and alternative strategies and assists clients in the creation and implementation of highly customized financial plans and investment strategies. Joel also holds the QPFC designation (Qualified Plan Financial Consultant), creating and updating qualified plans such as 401k, Profit-Sharing and Defined Benefit Plans for clients.
Joel began his financial services career at Morgan Stanley, working on the International Trading desk, among other roles. He moved to Citibank, where he traded technology and financial stocks during the Dot-Com era on behalf of institutional clients, then on to Sandler O’Neill, where he traded financial stocks during the post 9-11 rebuild. Joel later served as the financial sector specialist at Oppenheimer during the 2008 financial crisis. In 2011, he joined a hedge fund, where he worked as a senior analyst and trader. He returned to Morgan Stanley to join the Bridge Group in 2016.
Joel earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelors degree from Binghamton University. He has a strong interest in exploring technology and continues to study new applications. Joel holds the rank of Sandan (third-degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate. He teaches his art to community youth via the nonprofit Police Activity League (PAL). An avid runner, Joel has completed two marathons, competes in beach and indoor volleyball, plays hockey year-round and enjoys skiing in the winter.
