About Mara R Bralove

Mara R. Bralove, CFP®
Managing Director
Family Wealth Advisor
Senior Portfolio Management Director
Lending Specialist

Mara Bralove brings a deep commitment to helping families navigate the financial complexities that can arise across generations. Her passion for planning, education and long-term relationship building has shaped a practice grounded in thoughtful guidance and enduring values. Mara had the unique opportunity to work alongside her father, Steven Bralove, for twenty years. Together, they founded The Bralove Group, and she continues to carry forward their shared investment philosophy and client-first approach.

Mara believes that financial confidence begins with education. She welcomes opportunities to speak with clients, families and community groups about the importance of being engaged in one’s financial life, and she is especially passionate about helping individuals better understand the decisions that can shape their future.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she owned Bralove/Hollman Special Events, a full-service event planning company serving corporate and not-for-profit clients. She attended Sidwell Friends School and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mara’s leadership and influence within Morgan Stanley have been recognized at the highest levels. She was named to the MAKERS Class of 2022, a distinguished recognition honoring advocates, groundbreakers and innovators who are advancing opportunities for women across industries. This honor reflects Mara’s role as a champion for women’s advancement and her commitment to helping create pathways for leadership, inclusion, and impact.

She also served as a member of Morgan Stanley’s National Financial Advisor Advisory Council as well as the Southeast Regional Financial Advisor Council, two elite forums composed of leading Financial Advisors and senior firm leadership. The Councils play an important role in representing the perspectives of Financial Advisors across the firm and contributing to dialogue on key industry and practice matters. Mara’s selection to these councils underscores the respect she has earned among her peers and the firm’s confidence in her judgment, leadership, and ability to help shape conversations that affect advisors and clients nationwide.

Mara is also deeply engaged in the Washington area community. She is an active alumna of Sidwell Friends School, where she served as President of the Alumni Association and was honored with the Newmyer Award for excellence in volunteer service. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Theater J Council, where she has supported the nation’s leading Jewish theater for 25 years. Previously, she served on the Executive Committee of the Imagination Stage Board of Trustees. Mara received the Morgan Stanley President’s Club Community Leader Award and the 2021 Invest in Others Award in recognition of her community involvement.

Mara speaks French and Italian and lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband and two sons.

Mara is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as Life, Accident, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses.

About Nils Vidal

Senior Vice President
Financial Advisor
Senior Portfolio Management Director

Nils Vidal advises successful families, entrepreneurs, and business owners on the complex decisions that accompany substantial wealth. With more than 20 years of experience across private banking, commercial banking, and wealth management, he helps clients bring greater clarity, coordination, and purpose to their financial lives.

Raised in a Venezuelan and Swedish household, Nils developed an early appreciation for how culture, family values, and personal experience shape financial priorities. That perspective continues to inform his thoughtful, highly personalized approach to advising clients.

Nils works closely with clients to integrate investment management, financial planning, liquidity strategies, retirement planning, and estate and legacy considerations. He has particular experience advising business owners and entrepreneurs whose personal wealth is closely connected to the companies they have built. He helps them with exit planning, preparing for succession, a potential sale, retirement planning, and the transition of wealth across generations. Nils helps business owners evaluate their options and develop strategies designed to support their lifestyle objectives and long-term goals.

As a Financial Advisor with The Bralove Group at Morgan Stanley, Nils combines the resources and capabilities of a global financial institution with the personal attention and continuity of a boutique advisory practice. His approach begins with listening—understanding what matters most to each family and developing a coordinated strategy around their priorities.

As Senior Portfolio Management Director, Nils also helps design and manage customized portfolios aligned with each client’s objectives, risk profile, liquidity needs, and time horizon. His investment process draws upon research, analytics, and a broad range of traditional and alternative strategies to help clients navigate changing market environments.

Nils is equally committed to the Annapolis community he calls home. He serves as a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for Navy Youth Hockey, supporting an organization dedicated to developing young athletes through teamwork, character, sportsmanship, and citizenship.

He also supports Fish For A Cure, leading a team of anglers in the annual Chesapeake Bay tournament and fundraising challenge benefiting the Cancer Survivorship Program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Nils and his wife, Nina, live in Annapolis with their son and daughter. Outside the office, he enjoys time with his family, boating on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay, and cheering for his alma mater, Penn State.
