Meet The Boyd Group
About Me
Christopher E. Boyd, CRPC®, is a First Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. He and his team, The Boyd Group, serve clients with a strong desire to build, preserve and pass on their unique legacies to their children and grandchildren. An industry veteran, Chris joined Morgan Stanley in June 2022 after an almost 19-year tenure at Merrill Lynch. He has earned the trust of clients—working with them to thoroughly understand their values, goals, and financial priorities.
Chris is passionate about building enduring relationships, often with multiple generations of clients within the same family—enabling them to organize their personal and business finances, and to simplify the complexity of each stage of their financial life. He and his team leverage the full capabilities of Morgan Stanley to help clients achieve their goals.
He began his career as an entrepreneur, having started a gourmet foods and restaurant business at age 21 while a student at Ohio University. The businesses were operational for over 12 years, and Chris later completed his bachelor’s degree in finance at Franklin University. From restaurant to finance, his core values have remained consistent — offering only the highest quality products and services, and exceeding customer/client expectations. With his background in the restaurant industry, Chris and his team have been able to develop a niche in servicing the franchise owners of a major fast-food restaurant. His clients also include small business owners, physicians, corporate executives, and other professionals. He can work with clients nationwide, and is currently registered to do business in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SC, TX, VA, WA, and WY.
Chris is a board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus, where he serves on the Finance as well as the Diversity & Inclusion committees. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., New Salem Baptist Church, The James Beard Foundation, Slow Foods U.S.A. and the Fathers Auxiliary of Jack and Jill of America Inc., Columbus Chapter. His hobbies include cooking, listening to music, walking and cycling. He and his wife, Charmian Todd Boyd, also a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and member of The Boyd Group, are proud and active parents of two children—a son who recently graduated from Columbia University and a daughter who is a junior in high school.
