Meet The Blahunka Team

About Stephen Blahunka, MBA

Throughout his career, Stephen Blahunka’s experience in various industries has instilled within him the two core principles of his practice: customer service and accountability. His transition into wealth management was founded in the acknowledgement that clients are eager to seek the advice of an accountable and responsible advisor that will guide them with exceptional customer service. Stephen and his team firmly believe in keeping their clients up to date every step of the way through monthly reviews, quarterly portfolio evaluations, and annual investment planning. It’s through this process that his career has not only provided his clients the tools they need to reach their goals but also, lifelong friendships.

A graduate of Central Michigan University with an MBA from Wayne State University, Stephen entered the financial services industry in 2009 with the goal of becoming a trusted partner in the lives of his clients. His practice includes providing guidance for individuals who have lost a significant other and seek sage advice as they navigate this tumultuous time in their lives. As a widower himself, Stephen understands the challenges that derive from these moments with the acknowledgement of how lucky we have been to have shared our lives with someone special to begin with. As a CRPC and a CPFA, Stephen is also able to support the administration of retirement plans for the businesses of his clients.

Outside of work, Stephen enjoys staying active by skiing, biking, and swimming. In addition to athletics, he’s a board member for The Children’s Foundation in Detroit supporting programs focused on mental health, substance use disorder, health equity and pediatric cancer research. He also serves on Central Michigan University’s Pediatric Institutional Review Board which reviews and approves pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in partnership with St. Jude Children’s Hospital. A proud parent of two children and a daughter-in-law, Stephen’s family serves as his rock and for his clients, he understands their commitment to their children and grandchildren with providing a legacy for their future.
