About Mike Bergan
Mike Bergan is a Certified Financial Planner™ with over 20 years of investment industry experience, including 18 years with Morgan Stanley. Mike focuses on comprehensive wealth management and retirement income planning for corporate professionals and business owners.
Mike is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a B.B.A. in business and was a 4-year letterman on the men’s basketball team. Mike holds his Series 6, 7, 31, 63, and 65 securities industry licenses.
Mike lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing golf, running, and snow skiing.

About Jim Marlin
Jim has accumulated a very diverse background throughout his 15+ years in the finance industry. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2015, Jim earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA®) designation (non-practicing at Morgan Stanley) and worked in consulting, investment, and commercial banking, as well as in the tax, audit, and accounting fields. Jim holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
His responsibilities within The Bergan-Marlin Group include investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient investment and lending strategies, philanthropic guidance, impact investing opportunities, insurance analysis, and coordinating with clients’ external service professionals (i.e., CPAs and attorneys).
Prior to his finance career, Jim played four years of college baseball and was the team captain at Carroll University. Jim shares his love of the game as a coach for his children’s youth teams.
Away from the office, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, their six children, and two dogs. He also has a passion for golfing and fishing when time allows.

About Laurie A. Buffington
Laurie Buffington has worked in the investment industry since 1991 and joined Morgan Stanley in 1995. She supports the ongoing analytical efforts for the team’s clients and is also responsible for the day-to-day operational functions, including responding to client requests. In addition, Laurie conducts investment manager searches, creates customized client quarterly reports, analyzes asset allocations, and processes new accounts and asset transfers. Laurie has a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is Series 7, 63, and 65 licensed.
Laurie lives in Germantown, Wisconsin, with her husband and two children. She enjoys movies, golf, and spending time with her family.

About Aggie Bruge
Aggie Bruge is focused on everyday client service and support. As a Portfolio Associate, Aggie is committed to building personal and professional relationships with clients while also supporting our team. Responsible for administrative oversight and handling of client inquiries, she uses her extended knowledge and professional service to provide the best experience for clients. Aggie has more than 17 years of experience in the financial industry. This solid background enables her to provide a seasoned perspective to our team and to our clients.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in the summer of 2015, Aggie worked at Regal Securities, an independent brokerage firm in Milwaukee downtown, as their Syndicate Associate. She earned her Master’s degree in finance and marketing from Concordia University in 2005 and has the FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 licenses.
In her free time, Aggie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, reading, skiing, and traveling. Aggie is a native of Latvia and loves to visit her family every year.

Sean is one of our service associates and has been with Morgan Stanley for 20 years. He has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years, first in account transfer processing, then institutional equity sales, and finally brokerage service.
Sean attended the University of Minnesota, where he majored in English literature. Sean has three daughters who he loves traveling to Europe with, New York City, and going to concerts, museums, and sporting events.
