About Markie Barnett

Markie Barnett is a Financial Advisor for LTX Legacy Group at Morgan Stanley. With 17 years of financial experience at the firm, Markie transitioned into her role as an advisor in 2019 after working as a Registered Client Service Associate for the team. She has been awarded the Morgan Stanley Pacesetter’s Club in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She creates holistic financial plans for her clients with a focus on retirement income planning strategies, 401K rollovers, and college cost planning.

Markie received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2011 in addition to her Bachelor of Business degree in 2010.

Markie is married to Daniel Barnett and they have a little boy and two “fur babies”. They live happily on a farm in Union Grove where they enjoy spending time outside with their son, crafting and actively engaging with their Friendship Baptist Church family in Gladewater. Herman Bell is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management Director, Financial Advisor with 48 years of financial service experience. Herman has earned the Morgan Stanley designation of Senior Portfolio Manager for the Portfolio Management Program and has received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. He began working for Morgan Stanley in 2007, after working as an assistant manager and manager at other firms. Herman grew up in Henderson, TX and now lives happily in Longview, TX. He received his Bachelors of Business from The University of Texas Austin in 1977.

Herman is married to Susan Bell and is a proud parent of Larry Bell and Brittany Bell. He is thrilled to be a grandfather to his precious granddaughter Naomi. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, hunting and is an avid bicycle rider. Adam lives in Longview, TX, where he grew up as a child. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004.

About Stacey Birdsong

Stacey is a Senior Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley. She has over 18 years of experience working closely with multiple Financial Advisors as the first point of contact for clients. Stacey cultivates and enhances new and existing client relationships through active communication, processing client requests, resolving inquiries, and helping with the onboarding and maintaining of client accounts. Prior to career at Morgan Stanley, Stacey worked in the banking industry for many years.

Stacey has been married to her high school sweetheart for 32 years and they have two grown children and one son in law. She and her husband live in Diana, Texas and attend FBC Diana where she enjoys leading a Ladies Life Group class.

Away from work, Stacey spends her time running and training for races, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and she just began a ladies boxing class this year!

About Karen Jackson

Karen Jackson is a Registered Client Service Associate. After 12 years of working in retail operations, Karen successfully transitioned into her role with Morgan Stanley in 2012. She works closely with the other members of the Group in assisting with organizing records, building client portfolio’s and being a reliable source for information.

Karen grew up in Gilmer, TX and now lives in Longview, TX. She received her Associates Degree from Kilgore College in 2010. Karen is married to Chris Jackson and they have three adorable “fur babies”, Maddie, Chloe and Stormie. In her free time, Karen enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her family.

About Ashley Mackay

Ashley is a Registered Wealth Management Associate for the Longview Texas branch. She currently holds a series 7 and 66 license with FINRA allowing her to assist client with trades.

Originally from Maryland, Ashley is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. She started her career with Morgan Stanley in the New Orleans office before moving to Longview with her husband and two children.
