About Lou Tousignant

Lou joined Morgan Stanley in September of 2024 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1998 as a financial analyst for US Bancorp Investments. In years that followed, he took on client facing roles focused on practice management consulting, fixed income markets, and capital markets research. In 2011, he moved from Minneapolis to the East Bay working in the same capacity.

Lou believes that truly helping investors is much more than managing portfolios. Over the years, he has found that by understanding clients core capital needs, what may be causing anxiety, along with the dynamics of our daily lives, we can create strategies to focus on helping to alleviate those risks. The investments are tools to assist in that process.

Lou is a native of Duluth, Minnesota. He, along with father and siblings, all served in the armed forces. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications/economics and an MBA in Finance from the Labovitz School of Business from University of Minnesota Duluth. He currently resides in Walnut Creek with his wife Mary and son Thomas. He also has a daughter Ashley and granddaughter Ava who live in Minnesota. He was an active board member for the Indian Valley Swim Team. He enjoys traveling with his family, cycling up and around Mt Diablo, and motorcycle racing.

Lou is an Investment Consultant/Strategic Planner with the Bay Area Legacy Group at Morgan Stanley.
