About William Oakland
William brings a diverse skill set to the team, overseeing or assisting with various aspects of the wealth management process. His areas of focus include financial planning, portfolio analysis, and insurance and annuity strategies. William also serves as Alternative Investments Director, taking a lead role in identifying opportunities that exist for clients outside of the traditional fixed income and equity markets.
William joined Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 2013. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, William is committed to helping his clients identify, articulate, and prioritize their financial goals. He then develops a custom plan that will serve as the client’s roadmap to financial success. William and his team continuously monitor and track each client’s progress, making adjustments along the way when necessary. He also works with clients on financial matters unrelated to investments, such as Social Security, Medicare, and Estate planning strategies.
Additionally, William holds Morgan Stanley’s Insurance Planning Director designation, meaning he has demonstrated a commitment to incorporating insurance solutions as a foundational component of his financial planning and risk management process. William also brings experience in the corporate retirement space, assisting local businesses with the selection, set-up, and administration of 401(k) plans for their employees.
William was named as a Best-In-State Next Generation Wealth Advisor by Forbes in 2018, 2019 and 2022. This annual list recognizes advisors who embody a high degree of professionalism, dedication, and service. In 2021 and 2022, he was named as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes, earning him the distinction of being amongst the top advisors in the state of Louisiana.
William attended the University of New Orleans, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Finance. However, his introduction to money and finance began as a young child at the dinner table with his grandfather, who served as the Head of Economics at Tulane University for many years. William recalls countless evenings discussing markets, and supply and demand over meals with his grandfather.
A New Orleans native, William, his wife Davina, and their son Elijah reside in Lakeview with their two dogs—Jack and Bauer. The couple truly enjoys all that the Crescent City has to offer, especially the local festivals, restaurants, and Saints Sundays in the Superdome. They also love traveling abroad, having visited Switzerland, Spain, and Italy in recent years.

About Jason Rawls
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Jason works closely with clients to develop a thorough understanding of their overall financial situation, including their retirement goals and investment objectives. In turn, he designs custom financial plans aimed at helping clients achieve those goals by leveraging Morgan Stanley’s extensive research capabilities, intellectual capital, and technology.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Brittany earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Business Administration. She joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 as a Registered Client Service Associate at the firm’s Ridgeland office. Brittany, her husband, Lee, and their 2 dogs, later moved to New Orleans in 2015 where she spent the past 7 years as the Complex Administrator for Louisiana and Mississippi. In this role, she coordinated with and supported financial advisors, local management, home office, and external partners across several business verticals.

Ruth joined the Audubon Group at Morgan Stanley in 2024 as a Client Service Associate.
