    Our first step in working with clients is to develop a thorough understanding of their lives. This includes the people, activities, ideas, and organizations most important to them. We help our clients articulate, prioritize, and quantify their financial goals while conducting a thorough analysis of their assets and liabilities.     After completing our analysis, we create a written financial plan that will help identify areas of weakness that need improvement. The plan will also calculate the probability of success of our clients reaching their goals. We then lay out the steps necessary to increase this probability through variables that clients have immediate control over, such as savings rates, spending habits, and investment allocation. We also consider the impact of inflation and taxes over time. General budgeting, spending advice, as well as more specific, investment-related direction are also part of this process. Meet The Audubon Group

About William Oakland

William brings a diverse skill set to the team, overseeing or assisting with various aspects of the wealth management process. His areas of focus include financial planning, portfolio analysis, and insurance and annuity strategies. William also serves as Alternative Investments Director, taking a lead role in identifying opportunities that exist for clients outside of the traditional fixed income and equity markets.

William joined Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 2013. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, William is committed to helping his clients identify, articulate, and prioritize their financial goals. He then develops a custom plan that will serve as the client’s roadmap to financial success. William and his team continuously monitor and track each client’s progress, making adjustments along the way when necessary. He also works with clients on financial matters unrelated to investments, such as Social Security, Medicare, and Estate planning strategies.

Additionally, William holds Morgan Stanley’s Insurance Planning Director designation, meaning he has demonstrated a commitment to incorporating insurance solutions as a foundational component of his financial planning and risk management process. William also brings experience in the corporate retirement space, assisting local businesses with the selection, set-up, and administration of 401(k) plans for their employees.

William was named as a Best-In-State Next Generation Wealth Advisor by Forbes in 2018, 2019 and 2022. William attended the University of New Orleans, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Finance. However, his introduction to money and finance began as a young child at the dinner table with his grandfather, who served as the Head of Economics at Tulane University for many years. William recalls countless evenings discussing markets, and supply and demand over meals with his grandfather.

A New Orleans native, William, his wife Davina, and their son Elijah reside in Lakeview with their two dogs—Jack and Bauer. The couple truly enjoys all that the Crescent City has to offer, especially the local festivals, restaurants, and Saints Sundays in the Superdome. They also love traveling abroad, having visited Switzerland, Spain, and Italy in recent years.

About Jason Rawls

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Jason works closely with clients to develop a thorough understanding of their overall financial situation, including their retirement goals and investment objectives. In turn, he designs custom financial plans aimed at helping clients achieve those goals by leveraging Morgan Stanley’s extensive research capabilities, intellectual capital, and technology.

Jason brings experience in financial planning, portfolio management, and portfolio construction. As Alternative Investments Director, one of his primary areas of focus is educating clients about opportunities that exist within the alternative investment space. In 2019, Jason was chosen from a select group of financial advisors to serve on the Regional FA Council for Morgan Stanley’s Central Region. Jason was also named as a Best-In-State Next Generation Wealth Advisor by Forbes in 2019 and 2022, a list which recognizes advisors who are the future of the financial services industry. In 2021, 2022, and 2023 Jason was named as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes, ranking as one of the top advisors in the state of Louisiana.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 2011, Jason spent time working in homeland security and emergency management as the Private Sector Coordinator at the National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies Institute, which is based out of the University of Louisiana Lafayette.

Jason is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History. He also holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from LSU. Jason and his wife, Elyse, reside in Uptown New Orleans along with their dog, Beans. In their free time, the couple enjoys traveling and taking in the rich culture of the city and South Louisiana.

About Blake Culpepper

Blake joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in 2015 and has been working alongside members of The Audubon Group at Morgan Stanley ever since. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, he brings a great deal of experience in various areas of wealth management, including financial planning, alternative investments, and insurance.

As Alternative Investments Director, Blake is responsible for educating clients about investment opportunities separate from traditional fixed income and equity markets, such as private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge fund strategies. Blake also holds Morgan Stanley’s Insurance Planning Director designation, meaning that he is committed to including a thorough insurance review as part of his clients’ overall financial plan and estate planning process. In 2024, Blake was named as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes, ranking as one of the top advisors in the state of Louisiana.

A New Orleans native, Blake graduated from Ben Franklin High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Orleans. He enjoys all that the city has to offer, including dining out with friends and family, festivals, and Sundays in the Superdome cheering on the Saints. Blake lives in the Lakeview area with his wife, Rachel, and their dogs, Taz and Benji.

A New Orleans native, Mary Kay joined Morgan Stanley in 2016. As Senior Registered Client Service Associate, she is responsible for providing clients with exceptional client service while supporting our financial advisers to help clients reach their goals. Her attention to detail serves her well as the first point of contact for clients and helps to enhance the overall experience clients have come to appreciate. Mary Kay has earned investment adviser and securities broker Series 7 & Series 66 licenses and holds a Louisiana Health, Life and Accident Insurance License.

Mary Kay is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she studied business and communication, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2012. She and her dog, Walter, live in Old Gretna and she enjoys cooking, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.

About Brittany P. Hall

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Brittany earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Business Administration. She joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 as a Registered Client Service Associate at the firm’s Ridgeland office. Brittany, her husband, Lee, and their 2 dogs, later moved to New Orleans in 2015 where she spent the past 7 years as the Complex Administrator for Louisiana and Mississippi. In this role, she coordinated with and supported financial advisors, local management, home office, and external partners across several business verticals.

As a Senior Registered Client Service Associate, Brittany works alongside our Client Service team, where she focuses on creating a seamless client experience. This consists of a broad range of responsibilities, including processing transfers, opening accounts, and supporting our financial advisors as we help our clients towards their goals.

About Ruth Fruge

Ruth joined the Audubon Group at Morgan Stanley in 2024 as a Client Service Associate. In this role, she works alongside our Client Service team, where she focuses on creating a seamless customer experience that helps our clients and our financial advisors towards their goals. This includes opening accounts, processing transfers, and helping clients as they navigate and use the many services and applications that Morgan Stanley has to offer.

Originally from Southwest Louisiana, Ruth earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University. She then moved to New Orleans to earn her master’s degree from the University of New Orleans and decided to call this beautiful city her home. She lives in Midcity with her fiancé, Brett, and their cat Gatsby where they enjoy kayaking on Bayou St. John and experiencing all that New Orleans has to offer.
