About John P Ahart

John P. Ahart, Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Management Director, entered the financial advisory business in 1988 by joining the Paramus, New Jersey office of Morgan Stanley (and predecessors), where he still enjoys working today.  During this time, John has focused on providing clients with value-oriented comprehensive financial advice.

From 1984 to 1988, John worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Price Waterhouse, where he developed an extensive working knowledge of the principals of accounting, taxation, and financial statement construction.  His professional background enables him to directly participate in the discretionary management of client portfolios, and is the foundation of his long-term investment discipline.  
 
John obtained a B. A. in Accounting - Phi Beta Kappa, and with High Honors - from Rutgers University in 1984.

Lisa has been a vital member of the Ahart Group since joining the team in 2016.   She works directly with clients to help understand and articulate their specific financial goals, so she can develop customized and comprehensive financial plans that reflect their objectives. 

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Lisa entered the financial advisory business in 1984 by joining E.F. Hutton & Company.  From there, she moved to Merrill Lynch in 1985 where she remained for 28 years before joining Morgan Stanley in 2014.

About Don Janevski

Don Janevski is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in New Jersey.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Don began his career in financial services in 2003 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2015 as an Associate Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Mortgage Loan Consultant and a Mortgage Product Specialist with Silver Financial Capital Group, as well as a Branch Manager with First Lenders Mortgage.

Don is a graduate of the Montclair State University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management. He lives in Emerson, NJ with his family. Outside of the office, Don enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising and painting.

Mary Beth Powers is Executive Director and Trust Specialist for Morgan Stanley covering the New York Metro region, responsible for presenting Morgan Stanley’s third-party trustee partner platform to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Financial Advisors, clients and prospects. Leveraging the capabilities of our trust company partners, Mary Beth assists to identify appropriate fiduciary solutions, which are essential to the management, preservation and transfer of accumulated wealth. This process includes coordination with the client’s financial, legal and tax advisors to ensure proper trust planning implementation.

Mary Beth has worked in the trust and estate services industry for over thirty years, primarily handling trust new business opportunities. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mary Beth spent ten years as a senior vice president and regional trust specialist with Citigroup Trust in NYC.

Mary Beth received a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey and is Series 7 and 63 licensed. She resides with her husband and family in Blauvelt, New York.

About Jake Barone

Jake Barone is a Planning Associate at Morgan Stanley providing dedicated financial planning support to Financial Advisors and their teams. Operating as an extension of the FA/Team, he collaborates with clients to discover and define goals that matter most to them. Leveraging state of the art technology, he will evaluate various options and their potential outcomes to help clients confidently choose the appropriate course of action.
