Welcome

Empowering clients to craft financial security in their lives is the underlying principle that drives The 225 Group and our team of professionals at Morgan Stanley.

Operating like a small, nimble boutique firm inside the confines of a large, global company, we aim to protect and grow what you have worked so hard to earn.

Whether we’re helping a busy corporate executive develop an all-inclusive financial plan, assisting high-tech professionals with their equity compensation, working with successful families seeking to secure their financial dreams, or advising small business owners on how to protect their businesses while focusing on personal finances, The 225 Group is dedicated to helping our clients achieve financial success. Our primary goal for each client is a customized approach to wealth enhancement, wealth preservation and wealth transfer.

Our clients believe in the importance of building a long-term relationship with their financial advisor. They deserve—and expect —an advisory team who shares their vision, earns their trust and works diligently to help create a customized investment plan that seeks to ensure financial success, often over multiple generations.

The 225 Group is dedicated to helping affluent individuals and families define and achieve their long-term financial goals. We believe it is our responsibility to be aware of the changes in our client’s lives so we can anticipate and respond strategically to new risks and emerging opportunities. The end result is a coordinated financial and investment plan, updated regularly, that helps meet your unique wealth management goals today and down the road.

Money, in and of itself, does not create the skills to manage it. Our mission is to empower you to be confident in your financial decisions through education and understanding so you have options about your future, not obligations. We want you to enjoy the wealth you are creating before, during and after you successfully exit your career.

Approach

Discovery Process
Investing the time to learn about you and your family; your assets and liabilities and the risk exposures, enables us to formulate strategies and customize the relationship to your needs.
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy
Working with your tax and legal advisors, we help analyze your income and estate tax circumstances to identify and tailor planning techniques that may be used to address your objectives.
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation
Your customized asset allocation reflects risk, opportunities and taxation across multiple entities, while integrating your investing and estate plans.
Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation
Short-term adjustments seek to capitalize on temporary market distortions. Before making adjustments, we analyze the impact of taxes and trading costs on potential returns.
Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy
After comprehensive due diligence and analysis of expected results across multiple market scenarios, strategies are chosen from our expansive investment platform.
Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, we can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

Philosophy

Tab Image
A solid wealth management plan interweaves your financial matters with your family’s relationships, interests and goals. The plan we build for you can be simple or complicated, but it is designed to evolve along with your family’s changing dynamics, values and priorities.

We deliver family-centric wealth management solutions by:

• Ensuring you have enough money to fund your lifestyle
• Ensuring that your wealth goes exactly where you want it to go
• Defining and achieving philanthropic goals that align with your family’s values
• Working with your attorneys and tax advisors to build an integrated estate and wealth transfer plan
• Engaging the next generation in taking ownership of their finances.

Portfolio Management

Your investment portfolio should consider the entirety of your financial needs. It should reflect your current situation and create a powerful vision of your financial future.

We design your portfolio to respond to changing dynamics in financial markets, while making certain that it corresponds to changes in your life or evolving goals. It may also include alternative investments, which are a type of asset class that is not dependent on traditional financial markets and has the ability to achieve better outcomes with less volatility. Depending on your situation, a better outcome may mean more tax efficiency, more diversification, more income or simply higher returns.

Our team’s advanced portfolio titles and designations recognize our ability to provide you with a level of personalized portfolio management historically provided to meet the specialized needs, risk tolerance and investment goals of institutional clients. Every decision we make is focused on doing the right thing for you. We simplify your financial life, offering the best options with unbiased, objective advice.

Our team is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of equity compensation, from the general – long-term incentives, deferred compensation – to the specific and timely – stock options and restricted stock. We can help you navigate the complex regulations around:

• 10b5-1 trading plans
• 401(k) plans
• ISO, NSO, RSU and ESPP positions
• Lending against restricted and controlled stock
• Employee stock purchase plans
• Directed stock programs
• Corporate and executive buying programs

We offer comprehensive answers to your questions and try to clarity and simplify financial complexities into cohesive plans.
