My Story and Services
Tanner, born and raised in Canada, moved to the United States to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth as a student-athlete on the men’s hockey team. He earned a degree in Finance and continued his education at UMD by completing a Master of Business Administration.
During his time at UMD, Tanner was part of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey National Championship team, served as team captain, graduated as the top MBA student, and was named UMD’s E.L. “Duce” Rasmussen Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
After graduation, Tanner continued his hockey career with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. He later spent time in Arizona as a Financial Analyst before the opportunity to join Morgan Stanley brought him back to Duluth. His decision to become a Financial Advisor was deeply influenced by watching his mother, an accomplished professional in her own field, face challenges with investing and finding the right financial guidance. That experience shaped his desire to serve as a trusted resource for clients, helping them move from uncertainty to confidence.
Tanner and his wife, Jenna, recently purchased a home on Skyline Parkway, where they enjoy views of the Aerial Lift Bridge and Lake Superior. Outside of work, Tanner enjoys golfing, hiking, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams, with one exception: he remains loyal to the Edmonton Oilers. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, regardless of the activity.
Tanner holds Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, as well as the Minnesota Insurance licenses.

Sophia grew up in Lakeville, MN and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison’s School of Business with a degree in Finance, Investments, and Banking. She started her career in Scottsdale, Arizona with Vanguard’s Client Service and Operations division. In 2022, Sophia joined Morgan Stanley where she worked on the institutional side supporting high net worth Family Office clients. Outside of work Sophia enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, reading, hiking, traveling, and playing pickleball.
