My Story and Services

With a career that blends financial experience and service, Steve brings a highly personal approach to wealth management. After entering the field in his early 30s, he found that his earlier work helping individuals navigate difficult circumstances translated naturally to advising clients through major life transitions and challenging market environments. He believes those experiences help him connect with clients, clarify what matters most, and stay focused on long-term goals even during uncertain periods.

Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2006, he has built his practice around a disciplined discovery and planning process. As a Senior Portfolio Management Director, Workplace Advisor–Equity Compensation, and Financial Planning Specialist, he emphasizes that context is everything: the more completely a client’s goals and values are understood, the more effectively he can tailor strategies and provide a clear path forward. Steve also values ongoing conversations about the domestic and international news cycle, helping clients process current events and assess potential implications within the framework of their individual plans.

He is a founding partner of The Wolfslau Group and works as part of a national team of 21 advisors. Based in the main service hub in Long Beach, California, the team includes 14 service professionals and more than 25 interns, with dedicated specialists in trading, financial planning, and client service. This structure enables the delivery of customized portfolio implementation and ongoing management, alongside a high standard of client service and comprehensive planning.

Outside of the office, he and his wife, Liv enjoy family life with their two sons while traveling, volunteering, and being involved in their community.
