My Story and Services

With over 35 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, Stephanie assists clients through personal and professional life transitions, such as wealth events, retirement, weddings, deaths, divorces, and births, with purposeful financial planning and investment management. Her approach is to work with her clients, sharing her knowledge while helping clients define and achieve their goals.

Stephanie began her career in 1984 with Morgan Stanley in the Seattle office. At this time, she was one of the very few women advisors in the wealth management industry and focused her practice on value/dividend-yielding stocks and local municipal bond issuances. Early on, Stephanie’s investment approach evolved from that of a traditional stockbroker to a dedicated investment consultant offering customized portfolios for her clients.

Having attained key accreditations, Stephanie firmly believes that education is an ongoing endeavor and that accreditations are not meant to be static. To provide educated and informed advice in the ever-changing investment and financial planning landscape, she regularly takes courses and participates in investment conferences to stay current and to be on top of new developments in the industry.

Stephanie is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). She is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst™ (CIMA®), a less common designation earned at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. The CIMA® credential represents a sophisticated knowledge base that provides her with elevated skills and tools to evaluate asset managers and to design optimal portfolios. Additionally, she holds the designation of Executive Financial Services Director which helps her in working with executives of publicly traded companies as they navigate wealth events.

A Pacific Northwest native, Stephanie graduated from the University of Washington in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She lives in Seattle with her wife, Krista, and their Portuguese Water Dog, Isadora. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time in the San Juan Islands, hiking, boating, fishing and entertaining at their beach cabin on Lopez Island, as well as traveling to other parts of the world and exploring various cultures.

Stephanie recently completed 12 years serving on the Board of GSBA, Washington State’s LGBTQIA Chamber of Commerce which has over 1400 corporate and small business members, and which also runs a robust scholarship and education program. For 10 of those years, she served on the Executive Committee, and two years as Board Chair. She continues to serve on GSBA’s Nominations Committee and Corporate Advisory Board. She also recently completed 4 years of serving on the Morgan Stanley Pacific Coast Pride and Ally Council.
