About Roy Smalley
As the senior partner in the Smalley Muldowney Group Roy is responsible for synthesizing Morgan Stanley and other research sources into customized portfolio strategies for our clients, making sure each client portfolio matches the objectives of the client’s financial plan. Roy focuses on asset allocation strategies, equity research and fixed income portfolio construction helping to provide clients with diversified, risk-managed portfolios designed to keep them progressing toward their objectives through all market environments.
A financial advisor for the past two decades Roy has been granted Morgan Stanley Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager designations. He and his team have built a large wealth management businesses in the region bringing the benefits of experience and scale to an exclusive customer base.
Following a 13-year Major League Baseball career, Roy keeps his hand in the game doing occasional baseball analysis on television for Fox Sports. An avid golfer, he has continued his love of hitting balls with sticks trading Louisville Sluggers for TaylorMades. Roy is an avid reader and a collector of jazz music. Married for 38 years, Roy and his wife, Christine, have 3 grown children and two granddaughters. He serves as President of the Board of a non-profit organization, Pitch In For Baseball which supplies new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to underserved children and communities and is a major supporter of Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
