My Story

Most of us have a vision of how our financial future should look - whether it's a vision of how we joyfully spend our retirement years on a sun drenched beach, the vision of witnessing our children or grandchildren receive their diploma on a bright June morning, or a vision of passing on a meaningful legacy to future generations through philanthropic causes. While a coherent vision may exist in our minds, we may simply lack the time, the tactics or the tools to formulate a viable plan that can help accomplish our objectives.

As a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, I work tirelessly to help you fulfill your vision, whatever it might be. Much like the mountaineering guide who helps his clients navigate the perils of the mountain to ultimately reach the summit,

    We begin with a discussion to get you know you, what is important to you, your financial goals and concerns, and determine how I can help you in navigating your financial future.

    Looking at your goals, finances and investments, I develop and present a plan of action with recommendations and advice tailored to help achieve your financial goals.

    Onboarding Meeting
    I meet with you the present and discuss your plan and options. We will ensure that your accounts are set up properly and that your have convenient access to your accounts. We will also go over questions you may have.

    Implementation of your Plan
    Once I create your plan and we discuss your options, I will implement your strategy. I will monitor your strategy, and adjust for future transitions.

    Monitoring your Plan
    I provide ongoing service, and set up regular calls/meetings to discuss your progress as well as any updates and transitions. I may recommend adjustments to your strategy over time to help keep you on track towards achieving your goals.
Shannon Wamre is a Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Accountancy from New Mexico State University, Shannon has always had a passion for helping people identify and accomplish their goals. Shannon served in the United States Navy from 1989 – 1995 as a Data System Technician on the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. Before joining Smith Barney in 2007, which later merged with Morgan Stanley, Shannon worked as a CPA in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

With over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, Shannon focuses on giving straightforward and transparent advice, aiding clients in living their desired lifestyle. His suite of service includes retirement planning, investment advice, gifting, philanthropy, and more.

Shannon currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife Deborah, and their 2 daughters, Frankie and Birdie. He plays an active role in the Albuquerque community by volunteering at his daughters’ schools. In his free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, and roller skating.
