I describe myself as a 'recovering attorney'. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, I spent 17 years at Wachovia and Wells Fargo as a lawyer and senior vice president leading a team of investment professionals, sales and relationship managers overseeing 401k / pension plans, executive compensation and corporate trusts.

Before joining Wells Fargo, I practiced law at Womble Carlyle Sandridge and Rice's subsidiary, FirmLogic and worked at CNN where I analyzed and summarized opinions coming from the U.S. Supreme Court, often within minutes after their rulings, so our television correspondents could report on breaking news.

A Double Deacon, with both undergraduate and law school degrees from Wake Forest University, I was a walk-on player on the women's basketball team. I continued to get my basketball "fix" by coaching girls' teams at our local YMCA and St. Leo's Catholic School in Winston-Salem.

A lifelong North Carolinian, I am past president of Reynolda Rotary and Treasurer for Senior Services, Inc., which provides Meals-on-Wheels and adult day care for individuals with memory issues.

Actively involved with the Summit Church in Kernersville, I am also a huge sports fan, regularly attending and cheering on Wake Forest athletics. For the past 15 years the highlight of each week has been taking one of my three goddaughters out to dinner. I love to travel, go white-water rafting and attempt to play golf -- with limited success and constant frustration.

We are privileged to work with a broad range of people: Women in transition, Employees, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Retirees. We take pride in building long-term relationships with our clients and maintain a commitment to an exceptional level of value and professionalism. We strive to give clients the confidence needed to navigate a challenging financial world through personalized service, transparency and a perspective flourished through 20+ years of experience.

In an already complex world, we deliver an organized and thoughtful approach to building wealth - and then spending that wealth after your working years. We begin every relationship by understanding what is important to you and your family. Your goals and objectives are at the forefront of our crafting a financial plan and our recommendations on how to implement that plan.

    1: Introductory Meeting

We begin with an informal conversation to understand how we may help add value to your situation. This is our opportunity to learn about you and your opportunity to learn about us so that, collectively, we can determine whether we are a good fit for each other. If we all agree to move forward, we will then schedule a more in-depth discussion.

    2: In-Depth Discovery

We continue our initial dialogue, learning about the values that shape your decisions, the concerns and any unique family circumstances relevant to the short and long-term goals you've set for yourself and your family. We explore a myriad of qualitative and quantitative questions and request important supporting documents so we have a complete understanding of your current situation and vision for the future.

    Icon Image
    3: Analysis and Strategy

Utilizing proprietary planning tools and our investment guidelines, we develop your personalized and detailed financial plan with recommendations to help you grow, preserve and transfer your wealth. This serves as the foundation for building your initial plan, as well as future financial decisions.

    Icon Image
    4: Plan Presentation & Implementation

In this step, we present appropriate investment options that are designed to work together to help achieve your financial goals. Upon your approval, we will execute the investment recommendations and begin to implement the additional wealth management strategies we've discussed. If necessary, we will introduce you to additional professionals, such as a CPA or estate attorney, to help implement our recommendations.

5: Ongoing Communication & Commitment to World-Class Service

To help ensure a customized experience, we tailor a communication plan that adapts to your personal preferences. We meet quarterly to help ensure your plan remains current and to review your progress towards achieving your goals and have created a "rapid response" process to address any questions or concerns you have quickly and efficiently.

A major life change such as a job change, divorce, loss of a spouse, or an inheritance, can often have profound financial - and emotional - implications. We want to educate and empower you -- take away that feeling of being overwhelmed. The links below are just some of the ways we can provide resources and insights for women who are traversing through life.

Playbook: A Woman’s Guide to Life & Money

There's no doubt about it—women face a unique set of financial challenges. Yet, most of us feel ill-equipped to navigate these circumstances on our own. At Morgan Stanley, we have witnessed the power of education and trusted guidance to transform a woman's relationship with money. We believe educated women create a ripple effect, inspiring generations of men and women to come. That is why we are committed to empowering you with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve your goals: whether you're buying a home, starting a family, navigating a divorce, or giving back to a cause you care about.

    Planning for Caregivers

None of us want to think about a time when we might not be able to take care of ourselves. But, having that conversation is critical for making sure that everyone in the family is on the same page when it comes to the goals of caregiving. If you were called on to be a caregiver, would you be ready to take on the responsibility?
