Scott Litner has over 25 years of financial services experience. He is currently an Executive Director & Global Sports and Entertainment Director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he served as a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Taurus Asset Management where he worked closely with professional hockey players. Before Taurus, Scott was a Managing Director at Bank of America, where he led a team that worked with executives, money managers, private equity principals, professional athletes, and high-net-worth families.
Scott spent 17 years working in Institutional Equity Sales. He was a Managing Director and Head of New York Institutional Equity Sales at Nomura Securities; Managing Director at Lazard Capital Markets; Managing Director at Shumway Capital Partners; Managing Director at Bear Stearns; Executive Director at JP Morgan; and Senior Associate at Lehman Brothers.
Scott holds a B.A. in International Relations with an emphasis in Economics from The University of Wisconsin at Madison. In 2016, he created & launched the University's "Badgers in Finance" alumni network to mentor and assist students to obtain summer internships and full-time positions with financial services firms in New York City.
Scott is very involved in raising money for spinal cord related charities. For the past 9 years, he's hosted the Travis Roy Hockey Classic, an annual charity hockey game at Madison Square Garden & Benchmark International Arena that's raised over $2.3 mil for those who have been impacted by spinal cord injuries & Parkinson's disease. He is the Chairperson for the NHL Foundation's Center Ice Club, which is a group of individuals, supporters, partners, and leadership who are closely connected to the NHL Foundation's Go Forward! initiative. This team serves as strategic advisors as they look to advance Go Forward! to the next level in support of the NHL Foundation and their nonprofit beneficiaries including the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation & SCIboston's Travis Roy Legacy Grant program.
He resides in New York City with his three sons.
