About

Scott Frost has been with Morgan Stanley for nearly 29 years and currently serves as a Family Wealth Advisor. Over the course of his career, he has held a range of leadership and advisory roles, including Financial Advisor, Sales Manager, and Complex Manager. His experience brings a broad perspective to his work within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Born and raised in Iowa, Scott earned his B.B.A. from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids.

As a Family Wealth Advisor, Scott advises families across generations, helping them address complex, multigenerational financial needs through holistic, tax-efficient planning. He partners with clients to identify gaps, integrate thoughtful risk management, and align strategies across multiple planning areas. His approach is centered on clients’ goals and supported by a clear, ongoing planning process designed to help families prepare confidently for the future.

Scott is also active in the community and currently focuses his charitable involvement on Balance Autism, an Iowa-based nonprofit organization that provides a range of services for individuals with autism. Since January 2026, he has served on the organization’s board and on the Resource Utilization Committee, where he helps oversee financial stewardship and promotes responsible use of resources to support the organization’s mission and long-term success.

He met his wife, Andi, during his first teaching job, and they have been happily married for almost 30 years. Scott and Andi have three amazing children, Max, Sam, and Reese. Of course, their family would not be complete without their pets Ralph, a French bulldog, and Muffin, an ARL cat.

Clients who work with Scott experience a highly engaged, ongoing planning relationship. He views planning as more than a one-time financial plan. By emphasizing continuous discovery, he creates a consistent cycle of review and refinement. Scott recognizes that clients are at different stages of life, and he brings that perspective into every planning conversation. He helps prioritize goals based on where clients are in their financial journey and focuses on maximizing opportunities to build and preserve wealth in a tax-efficient manner. He supports long-term objectives and multigenerational planning.

12Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice.
