About Erick Gabler

He is the founding partner of The Sapphire Group and has been with Morgan Stanley since 1986. Erick is firmly committed to long-term relationships and exceptional personalized service. He represents the second generation of the Gabler family at Morgan Stanley. and understand the importance of family and legacy. As the team's Senior Portfolio Manager Director, he implements customized wealth management strategies that help meet the specific needs of high net-worth individuals and families.

He got his first job while in high school working at a record store and developed a love of music. In 1984, he graduated with a degree in Business from Cal Poly Pomona. Erick is both an avid jazz music fan and enjoys traveling. Mindful of financial history, he enjoys reading about market behavior and the psychology of investing. He and his wife of 40 years live in Orange County.

About Susan G West

Susan has been with Morgan Stanley as an FA for over 12 years. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics and is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A).

Susan became a Certified Financial Planner in 2015. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Susan worked in the healthcare industry for over 12 years where she held leadership positions at both a nationally recognized university and healthcare organization.

Currently, Susan’s core focus is to effectively develop investment strategies and portfolio management for high-net-worth individuals, families, Foundations, and other nonprofit organizations. In addition, Susan is very active volunteering and serving on various committees and boards within her community, such as Soroptimist International. In Susan’s free time, she enjoys golf and traveling.

About Robert C. Gabler

Robert has been a Financial Advisor and partner with the Sapphire Group at Morgan Stanley for 14 years. He represents the third generation of the Gabler family at the firm. He is a Portfolio Manager with a focus on value investing and managing the investments for our tax sensitive clients. He is also a financial planning specialist (FPS) who understands that every client and business is unique and no plan is alike.

Always a fast learner, He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with his B.A. in Business Administration shortly after his 21st birthday. Robert and his wife live in Orange County with their two children and their two rescued dogs.

When he's not at work or with family, he can be found running/training for his next race or sailing with his Morgan Stanley partner Tom Valcich.

Tom began his career in 1982 with E.F. Hutton which over a multitude of mergers over the decades is now Morgan Stanley. He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1992.
He graduated high school from the Don Bosco Technical Institute and received his B.A. from California State University Los Angeles. He also has his M.B.A from California Sate University Long Beach. Tom is a U.S. Army Veteran and served in S. Korea.
Tom loves racing his sailboat and is the co-owner of the Dos Amigos Dos. He is also an avid photographer.

About Thomas Gabler

Thomas joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 and manages the team's investment research and outreach. He has his B.A. from Biola University in European History and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also has his Master's degree graduating with Cum Laude honors in Philosophy from Biola University. He is a member of both Phi Alpha Theta as well as Kappa Tau Epsilon.

Thomas holds a Financial Planning Specialist* designation in addition to his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Thomas lives with his wife in north Orange County, and enjoys traveling abroad as well as exploring and enjoying interesting places around SoCal.

I am a long time Michigan resident. I recently moved CA when my daughter began attending UC Irvine. I love the CA weather. Some of my favorite things are anything matcha, spicy foods and a good thunderstorm.

About Niko Monserrat

Niko joined Morgan Stanley in 2020 and is a Registered Client Service Associate. He received his B.A. in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance from Cal State University, Fullerton. He has always lived in California and currently resides in Orange County.

In his free time, Niko enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
