About Me
For more than three decades, Chris Aitken has advised ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices, and nonprofit institutions on the complexities that accompany significant wealth. As leader of the Sanctuary Point Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, Chris works closely with clients and their families to bring clarity and perspective to important financial decisions and help them preserve, manage, and transition wealth across generations.
Chris takes a highly personalized approach to each relationship, recognizing that substantial wealth often brings considerations extending well beyond investment management. His experience encompasses strategic asset allocation, financial and cash flow planning, wealth preservation, tax-aware strategies, risk management, and philanthropy. He works closely with clients and their other professional advisors to help coordinate the many facets of their financial lives and develop strategies aligned with their long-term objectives, values, and legacy.
Throughout his career, Chris has emphasized disciplined decision-making and helping clients maintain perspective through changing markets and significant life events. His goal is to serve as a trusted resource to families—providing thoughtful guidance, accessibility, and continuity as their needs evolve over time and across generations.
Chris earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and began his career with Price Waterhouse Coopers, where his work included auditing and monitoring significant pools of nonprofit institutional assets.
Chris and his wife, Letitia, live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and have five children. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, collecting cars, playing golf, and skiing.
