My Story and Services
As a Senior Vice President, Sam Coleman focuses on asset allocation, risk management, financial planning and wealth management. His professional credentials demonstrate a deep, holistic level of investment knowledge, a commitment to a disciplined approach and an ability to create and monitor customized portfolios and investment strategies.
Sam is also a Senior Portfolio Manager, an advanced designation, which allows him to develop and manage the team’s overall investment strategy, while carefully monitoring and communicating about various aspects of the process that impacts client portfolios. His goal is to understand each client’s vision, preferences, and unique circumstances so that he can develop and implement an overall wealth management strategy that integrates virtually all of their needs.
Sam began his career with Kidder Peabody in 1992 and had formed a financial advisory partnership with his father, Sam Coleman, Sr., in 2002. They joined Morgan Stanley in 2013.
Sam received his B.A. degree in History from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He has been active with the Artist Trust, Christmas in June, and the Four Winds Westward Ho Camps. He is married to Katy and his greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife and their three boys, Jack, Henry, and Jim.

My Approach
I believe that identifying financial solutions begins with a solid understanding of each clients' goals, objectives, and risk tolerance. I follow a disciplined process that enables me to work with you to help meet your financial needs.
Step 1: Introductory Meeting
I offer an introductory meeting to see if there is a match between myself and potential clients.
Step 2: Discovery Meeting
This in-depth conversation provides me with the opportunity to get to know you and your family, so that I may potentially develop strategies and customize the relationship to help best meet your needs.
Step 3: Financial Planning
Every client is provided with a financial plan and goal analysis. Doing this allows me to understand my clients' goals. If a client does not feel comfortable with this process, I would not be able to have a comprehensive understanding of their full financial picture and therefore cannot help them.
Step 4: Asset Allocation
Once client goals are determined, I will be able to create and maintain a proper asset allocation for each client.
Step 5: Professional Coordination
I will coordinate with your family's Estate Lawyer, CPA, and other Persons of Influence.
Step 6: Quarterly Review
All clients will receive a Quarterly Review to go over their current financial situation to see if any part of their financial plan needs to be updated.
Step 7: Annual In-Person Meeting
All clients will receive an annual in-person meeting where we will have an in-depth meeting to go over your financial plans and goals. This will allow me to continue optimizing your strategy on an ongoing basis.
Step 8: Children & Beneficiaries
I ask that all children and beneficiaries be involved in the planning process to encourage education and a smooth transition of each clients' estate. This will help me to get to know your entire family on a deeper and more holistic level going forward.
Step 9: Legacy
I believe and encourage all clients to incorporate legacy and charitable giving into their financial plans.
Step 10: Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, I can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

Clint Eddy is an Executive Director with the Family Office Resources (FOR) team at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2022, Clint was a Wealth Strategist at Merrill Lynch for over 15 years. Clint also practiced tax and business law at the law firm of Fox Rothschild for over six years. He was a member of the firm’s Estate Planning and Tax and Corporate Transactions groups.
