About Paul W. Shoemaker

Paul W. Shoemaker is an Executive Director, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Management Director and Certified Financial Planner with Morgan Stanley. He is originally from Longmont, Colorado and received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University where, as a quarterback for the football team, he was a scholar athlete. After graduation in 1998, Paul joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and built a successful financial advisory practice. During his time there, he also served as a sales manager for the regional complex of branches. In 2012, he transitioned his practice to Morgan Stanley and became the manager of the Salt Lake City office. He is able to use his extensive knowledge of behind the scenes operations and senior level contacts in the firm to quickly and efficiently solve client problems and gain access to new technology.

Paul and his wife Katie have five children and live in the greater Salt Lake City area. He is President of the Salt Lake chapter of the Cougar Club for Brigham Young University athletic supporters and is active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Paul has competed yearly in half and full distance Ironman races since 2010.

About Joseph H. Barnhurst

Joseph H Barnhurst is a Vice President, Business Service Officer with Morgan Stanley. He oversees the service side of the wealth management branches for the State of Utah. Currently including, Salt Lake City, Park City, Cottonwood Heights and Provo. He is originally from Sandy, UT and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of San Francisco. Joe joined Ameriprise Financial as a Financial Advisor in 2006, in 2008 he Joined Morgan Stanley, in 2016 he took a position at Goldman Sachs to help start Marcus by Goldman Sachs, and eventually came back to Morgan Stanley in August 2018. Joe has two daughters and lives in the greater Salt Lake City area.

About Jace Waddoups

Jace Waddoups is a Vice President and Risk Officer with Morgan Stanley. He oversees the risk supervision function for the Salt Lake City, UT and Boulder, CO wealth management offices. He started his career in Financial Services at Fidelity Investments and has spent the last 9 years with Morgan Stanley at the Salt Lake City branch. Jace received his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and is originally from Idaho, but has called Utah home for over 20 years. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children, especially if it involves trail running or mountain biking.
