My Story and Services

With over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, Sally’s practice is focused on serving the needs of multi-generational families and women in transition as well as the not-for-profit and philanthropic community which she believes is under-served by the investment community. She is particularly adept at helping her clients navigate the many transitions we encounter in life, whether it is the loss of a spouse through death or divorce, the sale of a privately-held business, the transition to retirement, the purchase or sale of a family home, the establishment or spend-down of a charitable endowment, the professionalization of fund management by a not-for-profit board, or the founding of a new business or non-profit entity.

Sally brings the sensibilities of an analyst and planner to her work. She leads her clients through a comprehensive analysis of their current financial status, investment experience and risk tolerance, defines their long-term and near-term financial goals, and explores possible barriers or obstacles to achieving those goals. Based on this information, Sally develops suitable financial strategies and investment programs that can help enable clients to reach their stated objectives.

About Me

Sally joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 after more than eight years with Smith Barney. Prior to her career in finance, Sally worked as Director for Administration and Budget for the Rockefeller Foundation, Director of Planning and Analysis and Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Services at Columbia University, and Policy/Budget Analyst for the Congressional Budget Office. She holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College.

Sally lives in the beachside community of Westport, CT. She enjoys reading, writing, music, swimming, cycling, and early morning walks on the beach with her recently rescued Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Phoebe. Sally and Phoebe are currently in training with the hope of one day becoming certified for therapy work.

7The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because ESG criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.

8Alternative Investments are speculative and include a high degree of risk. An investor could lose all or a substantial amount of his/her investment. Alternative investments are appropriate only for qualified, long-term investors who are willing to forgo liquidity and put capital at risk for an indefinite period of time.
