My Mission Statement
Partnering with like-minded individuals and families in an evolving society to embrace the innovative and sustainable investment themes that can make a positive impact on your wealth and the world.
My Story and Services
My passion for financial services started at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. As a child, I was more interested in investment books than children’s literature, and by high school, I was interning at Smith Barney, a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm. After earning my B.A. in Finance from Western Washington University, I began my full-time career at Morgan Stanley in 2004, first as a Senior Training Specialist before joining the Golden Stone Group in 2010.
With over 20 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to helping clients navigate the complexities of wealth management, creating strategic financial plans tailored to their unique goals. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, I work with individuals and families to grow and preserve their wealth, ensuring their financial plans align with what matters most to them. Whether guiding clients through investment decisions or helping them plan for future generations, my goal is always to provide thoughtful, comprehensive advice with integrity and care.

I am passionate about helping clients navigate their complex financial lives. I start by working with my clients to define and articulate their goals, which form the basis of my comprehensive, strategic financial plans.
I’ve been a professional advisor for ten years, but my fascination with financial services goes back even further. As a small child, my grandmother offered to buy me one book at the bookstore. I strode right past the children’s literature and straight for the investment section. While in high school, I interned at Smith Barney, a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley, and was featured in Young Money Magazine in 1999. After college, I was hired back at Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley), where I served as a Senior Training Specialist covering the Northwest, including Alaska. I joined the Golden Stone Group in 2010, and 2023 marked my 25th year at the firm.
I earned a B.A. in Finance (naturally!) from Western Washington University in 2003, and later earned both Certified Financial Planner and Family Wealth Advisor certifications—prestigious accreditations that reflect my commitment to planning and comprehensive advice.
My wife, Danielle, and I have two children, Owen and Olivia, and two rescued cats. We were married in Vernazza, Italy, and we enjoy any experience that makes life richer. One more notable fact about me—I was an actor as a child.

Thematic investing has evolved over the years from an investment approach limited to niche or sector funds and ETFs into a much broader and holistic practice. Living in Seattle, one of the global centers of innovation, I relish the opportunity to research and discuss with my clients the themes and innovations that will shape our future.
It may be helpful to view ESG in the same way as artificial intelligence and other innovations that are transforming the way we work as well as consume goods and services. Through Morgan Stanley’s Investing with Impact platform, you can choose from among dozens of sustainable investment themes.
Sustainable investing has evolved from a practice based on negative screening and exclusion of companies in specific industries to one that embraces the power of positive change among public and private enterprises. For years, critics charged that investing to promote sustainability meant sacrificing performance in pursuit of doing good. Today, however, we know better as a critical mass of academic research supports the notion that investments that take sustainability or ESG factors into consideration can perform in line with traditional portfolios. We believe that over time, companies with positive sustainability attributes – characteristics common to many of the market’s leading companies across technology, health care and other industries -- will potentially deliver better performance as more and more investors, both institutions like college endowments and public pension plans, as well as entire generations of individual investors, demand more accountability as shareholders.
I am proud to be part of a firm that has dedicated its resources to elevating sustainable investing, offering research and innovative tools to help you not only understand what making an impact means broadly but also helping clients pursue and support the specific causes most meaningful to you.

ESG investments in a portfolio may experience performance that is lower or higher than a portfolio not employing such practices. Portfolios with ESG restrictions and strategies as well as ESG investments will not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as portfolios where ESG criteria is not applied. There are inconsistent ESG definitions and criteria within the industry, as well as multiple ESG ratings providers that provide ESG ratings of the same subject companies and/or securities that vary among the providers. Certain issuers of investments including may have differing and inconsistent views concerning ESG criteria where the ESG claims made in offering documents or other literature may overstate ESG impact. As a result, it is difficult to compare ESG investment products.
There is no assurance that an ESG investing strategy or techniques employed will be successful. Past performance is not a guarantee or a dependable measure of future results.

Making an Impact

2021 highlighted the tremendous environmental and social challenges our global society is facing and has caused many individuals and engaged investors to consider how they can make a difference and be part of the solution. Do you often ask yourself:
- How much of an impact am I making through my investments?
- What specific values or causes are most important to me?
- What investment and planning options are available to support a more sustainable life for myself and a more sustainable society?
If you are ready to commit to aligning your money with your values and creating an impact, I can educate you on various possibilities and offer you the personal perspective, experience, and rich analytics available through Morgan Stanley to create a custom sustainability strategy.
Every client relationship starts with goals-based planning that helps us identify what matters most to you. For some clients, those top priorities will be saving for a comfortable retirement or leaving a legacy for future generations. For individuals who desire to make a difference with their wealth, using the Morgan Stanley Impact Quotient questionnaire as a guide, together we will build your personal Impact Profile. We can then analyze how your current holdings are aligned with your values and where we need to make changes striving to generate the best possible expected returns and help meet your impact goals. Those changes could range from completely selling what you own and building a sustainable portfolio from the ground up to integrating new investments to address specific impact objectives.
Disclaimer:
The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware/Socially Responsible Investing (“SRI”)/Sustainable investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because ESG/SRI/Sustainable investments criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria.
