ABOUT ME

I take pride in my financial strategies that are created with their needs and goals in mind. I'm happy when I can help clients pursue their short and long-term goals and worry less about their finances.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, I attended Rollins College and also acquired my Florida Real Estate license. I quickly abandoned that interest to pursue my passion for helping others in the financial services industry.

Taking on the role of a financial advisor provides a range of opportunities not widely available in many career fields. In addition to offering valuable advice to clients, I appreciate the ability to craft a flexible work schedule where I can serve my clients as well as create a work-life balance.

My first priority in my process is to sit down and listen to the client. We then craft an holistic financial plan for both their short and long term financial goals that takes into account the market and analytical benchmarks.

I take a holistic approach when talking with prospective clients or working with existing clients. By starting top-down versus bottom-up, I can build better relationships and deliver better service. I look to be a value add for every one of my clients.

I work with my father, who has been in the business for the past 40 years. We are customer centric, while leveraging the power of Morgan Stanley's many resources. At all times the clients' needs are at the center of our discussions.

Outside of work, I look to stay involved in my community. I was a 10 year Board Member of the Eagles Mere Country Club, current Chairman of the Green Committee. Additionally, I have a passion for golf, where I am a 7 time Men's Medal Play Golf Club Champion, 7 time Stroke Play Men's Golf Club
Champion, 8 time Men's Better Ball Champion and 3 time President's Cup Men's Champion.

My family is most important to me, and my wife and I live in a small community where we both grew up and stay close to our parents.

NAVIGATING THE RETIREMENT PROCESS

Creating a customized retirement plan is an important part of your financial standing. As your dedicated Financial Advisor, I will work these steps with you to ensure we have a plan in place and that you feel comfortable with your future goals.
    Icon Image
    Step 1: Assets
Your assets may include, 401(K), 403(b), 457 plans, lump sum pensions, real estate, investment accounts, bank accounts, stock options, stock purchase plans, and business assets.
    Icon Image
    Step 5: Risk Management
It's important to make sure your plan has the proper guardrails to keep you and your family on track.

Some of these guardrails include insurance planning. We recommend reviewing your term, whole life, or long term care insurance needs prior to retirement.
    Icon Image
    Step 2: Liabilities
In general, we advise our clients to be debt free in retirement. Before you retire, it's important to examine all your liabilities.

Liabilities may include; mortgages, lines of credit, student loans, vehicle loans, credit cards, and business loans.
    Icon Image
    Step 6: Estate Planning Strategies
As you approach retirement, it's important to make sure your estate planning strategy is aligned with your investment and financial plans.

You may consider hiring an estate attorney who can help design wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and medical directives.
    Icon Image
    Step 3: Income
In retirement, you'll likely need to generate enough income to maintain your current lifestyle. You may have multiple sources of fixed income including pension payments and Social Security. You may also have other sources of fixed income as well during retirement.
    Icon Image
    Step 7: Assembling Your Team
Before and during retirement, it's important your personal tax advisor, personal estate planning attorney, and financial advisor communicate regularly and operate as a virtual team on your behalf. Your virtual team should meet with you and your family at least annually.
    Icon Image
    Step 4: Expenses
Knowing what your expenses will be in retirement is critical. During the accumulation years of your life, savings rates are the key to success. During retirement however, withdrawal rates matter the most.

Our technology can help you manage and track your expenses to help make sure your plan remains successful throughout retirement.
    Icon Image
    Step 8: Continued Monitoring
Approaching and during retirement, it's important to check up on your investment and financial plans to make sure they are on track.

Our technology can help track and manage your plans to help ensure they are successful throughout retirement.

4Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan's investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan's flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan's investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state's own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state's tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
