Welcome

I began my career in 1986 and have over 38 years of experience in the financial services industry. My passion for being an advisor stems from helping clients achieve their financial goals, and I find it incredibly rewarding to know that I’ve helped them navigate the complexities of the financial world.

My approach has always been centered around financial planning. I focus on gaining a complete understanding of my clients’ financial lives before making any investment recommendations. This includes reviewing their assets, liabilities, and both present and future needs and goals. By taking a holistic approach, I can create a unique and individualized portfolio for each client.

Together with my business partner, Bob Vogelsang, we bring 73 years of combined investment experience to our team. We primarily handle the investment decisions, while our Consulting Group Analyst, Jacob Aruta, works behind the scenes on the analytical side. Our Client Service Associates, Eric Suh and Dawn Uchihara take care of the operational aspects of the business, and we’re also supported by Kevin Petersen.

I attended the University of California Los Angeles, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. I’ve also received the Series 8 (General SEC Sales Supervisor) and Financial Planning Specialist Certifications.

Outside of work, I’m extremely passionate about fly fishing. I’m actively involved with and support organizations such as the South Bay Fly Fishers, The Bitterroot Fly Fishers, Trout Unlimited, Bitterroot Water Partnership, and Casting for Recovery. My wife Sylvia and I live in the Bitterroot Valley, overlooking the town of Hamilton. We have two wonderful young adults, Ryland and Rebecca, who are achieving success in their respective careers.
