Planning For Tomorrow's Legacy Starts Today

Preparing for your estate and creating a legacy that lasts is one of the most honorable things we can do for ourselves and our families. We understand how important it is to have a plan in place in case something happens and to be prepared for the future. RM Compass is dedicated to providing the support and tailored service needed to create the legacy you want to leave behind. Check out the information below to learn more about different ways to make estate planning work for you and contact us today if you have any questions.

Wills
A well-prepared will helps ensure that an individual's assets, possessions and wishes are fulfilled properly after their passing. This will is a living document that outlines exactly how an individual wants their possessions and assets dispersed after death.

Trusts
A trust is another way you can see assets and property passed down accordingly and involves a Grantor (the person who funds the trust), the trustee (the controller and legal owner of the trust), and one or more beneficiaries (ultimate owners of the assets in the trust).

Estate
Your estate consists of everything in your name that you own such as cash, real estate, property, stocks, bonds, and valuable collectables.

Annual Gifting
There are two gifting limits that apply to the transfer of wealth in 2025: (1) the annual gift tax exclusion which allows you to gift up to $19,000 each year to any person (or a trust for that person) and (2) the lifetime exemption which allows you to gift up to $ 13.99 million over the course of your lifetime.

As your wealth management advisory team, it’s our job to help plan for the stability of your future from the stresses of your present. In other words, we play the long-game; through diligent research and carefully-designed strategies, we seek to prepare you (and your family) in an effort for you to thrive in life long after your professional career is over.

These steps ensure we fully understand your situation,
however complex, to find a solution right for you and your family.

Financial Planning is in Our DNA
In order to help you achieve and maintain excellence outside the playing field or board room, we first have to compile an in-depth understanding of your financial health. Our experience is crucial here. After many years in the industry, we know the "right" questions to ask. We also understand how the different facets of your life intersect. After we've developed the whole picture, we design a rigorous plan that helps mitigate risk, maximize earnings, and simplify your financial life. For some of our clients, this may mean reorganizing their current strategy; for others, it means building one from scratch.

Many of our clients, particularly the professional athletes, accumulate a great deal of wealth early in their careers. With so many distractions and temptations at their doorstep, it can be difficult for them to make sustainable financial choices. And it's not just athletes; over the course of a lifetime, every person faces tough personal and professional decisions that carry financial repercussions. That's where our cash management services come in. It not only allows us to help you manage cash flow, it also lets us provide you with comprehensive, real-time insight into your financial life.

Our goal is to help you steer clear of personal and financial risks in your everyday life so you can potentially maximize return in your financial life.
While working across a broad spectrum of industries in many different countries, our clients virtually all have one thing in common: they excel at the highest level of their respective fields. Some are champion players and coaches; others are entrepreneurs, business executives, doctors, lawyers, and even other investment professionals. Throughout our team’s history, we’ve had the opportunity to work with two and even three generations of families, helping them to prosper for even more generations to come.

Like our clients, we too are committed to excellence and work tirelessly to perform the research, analysis, and counsel necessary to help achieve it. We strive to make ourselves available for your every question and guide you and your family through major financial transactions and life decisions.
