My Mission Statement
Welcome
Personal
I grew up in Dallas, but did my undergraduate work at Tulane University in New Orleans, where I graduated with honors and a double major in finance and legal studies of business. I went on to earn a master's degree in education at the University of Kansas, and having played varsity baseball at both schools, I then signed a professional contract to play baseball for the Cleveland Indians. After spending parts of two seasons in the Indians' minor league system, I decided my real future was in the investment business. I began my second career as a financial advisor with Morgan Keegan & Co. in 2007, continued with RBC Wealth Management from 2011 until finally joining Morgan Stanley in 2023.
My wife, Betsey, and I live in Dallas with our two young children, Mila and Ford. I currently serve as the chairman of the annual benefit concert for The Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation, which is the nation's leading provider of in-school outdoor education with more than 150,000 kids per year enrolled in our "Outdoor Adventures" class, in 1400+ schools across all 50 states and Canada. When I'm not working, you'll most likely find me in the great outdoors with family and friends or on the golf course.
