Based in New York City, I work closely with a select clientele of prominent families, family offices and institutions throughout the Middle East. My clients have built successful enterprises, led major corporations and served as stewards of great family wealth. They face financial complexities and wealth planning challenges that cross borders as well as generations. They have entrusted me with crafting strategies designed to help protect and grow their assets, and to pursue the objectives they have established for themselves, their families and their communities.

My clients’ needs are constantly evolving and require new perspectives, expansive investment platforms and advanced analytical technologies.     My Story

    Drawing on more than three decades of international private banking experience, Randa El-Sayed Haffar serves a select clientele of ultra high net worth families, family offices and institutions throughout the Middle East. Based in New York, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar combines her talents with Morgan Stanley's vast global resources to craft highly customized solutions based on the precise needs of each client. Her primary focus is on delivering growth strategies, crafting capital markets solutions, helping her clients manage risk and providing access to a broad spectrum of global investment opportunities across traditional and alternative asset classes. Though rooted in investment strategy, her comprehensive approach encompasses cash management and borrowing strategies, wealth and estate planning, philanthropic strategy and family office resources.

    Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar spent more than 20 years at Citi Private Bank, where she became an International Senior Private Banker and Managing Director. Ranked among their highest producers, she was awarded Citi's prestigious Chairman Council Award for 15 consecutive years and admitted to their Hall of Fame. Ms. El-Sayed Haffar began her financial services career at the Bank of New York before moving to Coutts Bank and, later, Chase Manhattan.

    Ms. El-Sayed Haffar is highly active in the global Middle Eastern community in both her professional and philanthropic commitments. She currently serves on the boards of the American University of Beirut, the Harvard Business Review Arabia and The Global Smile Foundation. Passionate about giving back to her region and through her family foundation, the Elmer and Mamdouha Bobst Foundation, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar has also supported major Middle Eastern-focused initiatives at Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, New York University, Princeton University and a variety of other organizations. She previously served on the boards of the Near East Foundation and the Kamen Brain Tumor Foundation.

    In recognition of her civic and charitable work, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2024, a prestigious award whose recipients have included leaders of Fortune 50 companies, Nobel Prize laureates and eight presidents of the United States. She was also honored with a Citation of Appreciation from the Brooklyn Borough President and received the Al Salaam Club's Woman of the Year Award, both in 2019.

    Born and raised in Lebanon, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar is fluent in English and Arabic, and conversant in French. After graduating from the American University of Beirut, she moved to the United States to earn her master's degree in public finance and financial management from New York University.

    While in New York, Ms. El-Sayed Haffar met her now husband of 28 years and has since resided in New York City with her family. She prioritizes balance as a way of life between servicing her clients and spending time with her husband and daughter.
