About Gary Sanchez
Gary Sanchez is a First Vice President and Practice Management Consultant at Morgan Stanley, where he serves as a strategic partner to financial advisors who are committed to building high-performing, future-ready businesses. With nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Gary specializes in helping advisory teams achieve scale, deepen collaboration, and position their practices for long-term enterprise value.
Gary’s career began at OppenheimerFunds in 2007, and since then he has held a series of senior consulting and coaching roles at Invesco, Janus Henderson, and Syntrinsic Investment Counsel. Over the years, he has worked closely with hundreds of advisors across the country, providing customized guidance in three key areas: practice management, strategic teaming, and succession planning.
At Morgan Stanley, Gary leads initiatives that foster internal partnerships among advisors, helping them leverage specialties, elevate client experience, and accelerate sustainable growth. His approach is rooted in a deep understanding of both the human and operational sides of advisory businesses — blending leadership development, strategic planning, and team dynamics to support growth that lasts.
He holds a BA from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and has completed executive education at two of the nation’s top business schools — the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
A proud native of Denver, Colorado, Gary now resides in Morrison with his wife Sarah, their two young children, McKinsey and Francis, and their energetic dog, Norman. When he’s not working with advisor teams, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling with family, and coaching youth sports.
