About Matt Foster
Matt Foster, Vice President – Wealth Management, serves as Risk Officer for the Plano, TX Branch location. Matt is responsible for identifying investment risks and helping clients understand the challenges they may face when participating in financial markets. He also supervises the employees of the branch to ensure consistent adherence to firm and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Matt was born and raised in the Oklahoma City area but now lives in Garland, TX. In 2008, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was later employed by Morgan Stanley in 2012. Matt started on the National New Accts team, then became a Service Associate with the Client Advisory Center (CAC), now called the MSVA, where he acquired his Series 7 and 66 licenses. He then went on to work with the Central Review Unit (CRU), as a risk officer, and received his Series 9 and 10 licenses
In Matt’s down time, he enjoys reading, hiking, bicycling, spending time with friends and family, and listening to true crime podcasts. Matt is very close to his family in the OKC area, especially his nephew Wyatt, and often drives there to visit them. In the community, Matt enjoys volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank.
