About Vanessa Garl, CFP®

Vanessa is convinced that financial planning is critical to the success of her client relationships. “You can’t move forward without knowing where you are and where you hope to go someday,” she asserts. And to help her clients pursue their goals with greater effectiveness, Vanessa begins each of her client relationships with a plan that encompasses not only their investments, but virtually every aspect of their financial lives.

A native Floridian who grew up outside Tampa, Vanessa majored in Finance at The University of South Florida and began her career in 2006 at Ameriprise Financial. There, she built a successful practice and sharpened her focus on planning as a way to provide clients with more personalized guidance. “It simply made more sense to me to find out what my clients need their investments for, than to label them conservative, moderate or aggressive investors,” she says.

In 2010, Vanessa joined Morgan Stanley and earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner designation. Today, she helps clients understand how much they are spending, as well as how much they are investing, and what they will require to retire as planned or meet other important financial goals. She then develops a plan with tangible recommendations to help them arrive at their financial destination. Vanessa’s personalized, planning-based approach has earned her accolades from Forbes, which named her on its 2018 list of America’s Next-Gen Advisors and 2019 list of Best-in-State Next-Gen Wealth Advisors and from Working Mother Magazine, which ranked her on its Top Wealth Advisor Moms in 2020.

A fitness enthusiast and a major Tampa Bay sports fan, Vanessa is an active member of her community. She volunteers regularly at her children’s school, tutoring their classmates in reading and chairing a major fundraising event involving a 5k run in which she participates. She and her two children also volunteer at Feeding Tampa Bay, a local food bank.

Vanessa resides with her two children in New Tampa.

About John Webermeier

Born in Estes Park, Colorado, John came to Florida as a student at The University of Florida. After receiving his degree in accounting, he decided to stay and begin his career at Ameriprise Financial. His tenure there began a month before the great recession of 2007-2009, and the experience during that trying time proved to be invaluable. In 2010, he joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor, where he earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and has become a Morgan Stanley-credentialed Senior Portfolio Manager.

John loves his adopted community almost as much as he enjoys managing portfolios and serving as a trusted source of counsel for his clients. He is active in Junior Achievement and previously served on the board of Beta Theta Pi, his college fraternity. When not advising clients, he can often be found roughhousing with his silver lab, Goose, and rooting for the Florida Gators.

About Erin Brazzoni

Erin began her career in Financial Services at Smith Barney in Chicago, in 2003, where she supported one of the top teams in the country. In 2007 she left the firm, and country, to move to Italy where she met her husband Francesco. In 2014 they made the decision to come back to the United States with their two young sons and she rejoined the firm at Morgan Stanly Virtual Advisors. In 2018 we asked her to join us as we started Phronesis Group. When return to work began last year, she made the difficult decision to move firms to help support her family in a work from home environment. What a different a year makes, with her now middle school and high school aged sons thriving she reached out to let us know she was ready to come back. We couldn’t be more excited and pleased to have her coming back to work with you. She will act as your primary point of contact for all things related to contributions/distributions, account updates, scheduling and so much more.

7Participating in a new issue/syndicate is subject to availability. IPOs are highly speculative and may not be appropriate for all investors because they lack a stock-trading history and usually involve smaller and newer companies that tend to have limited operating histories, less-experienced management teams, and fewer products or customers. Also, the offering price of an IPO reflects a negotiated estimate as to the value of the company, which may bear little relationship to the trading price of the securities, and it is not uncommon for the closing price of the shares shortly after the IPO to be well above or below the offering price.
